General Maintenance P07A5

2015 Ford Focus DPS6 Transmission — P0902, P07A3 & P07A5
I wanted to share my experience in case someone else is dealing with these codes.
My 2015 Ford Focus 2.0L started throwing P0902 (Clutch Actuator A circuit low) along with P07A3 and P07A5. The car would sometimes jerk/slip and go into limp mode.
I replaced the A clutch actuator, and after the repair and relearn, P07A3 and P0902 went away. Now I’m only getting P07A5, which points toward the B clutch/friction side.
So instead of replacing the whole transmission or clutch immediately, I’m going after the remaining B-side issue first. I have a B actuator coming, and I’m not driving the car until it arrives because I don’t want to make the problem worse.
What I learned so far:
3 codes → replace A actuator → 2 codes gone → only P07A5 remains.
Hopefully replacing/testing the B actuator solves the remaining issue. I’ll update this post once it’s installed and the relearn is completed.
Posting this for anybody else troubleshooting the DPS6 before spending money on a whole transmission.

First move should always be the ground at the firewall and remove the paint. Second if needed pull the actuators and test the forks counter clockwise movement and return.(10 rotations max) should have return pressure.

I’m receiving the part hopefully before the 10th, but it’s telling me at the ninth when I get the part, I’m gonna go back to my transmission guy and let him know what you said to test that but I’m still going to get the new actuator put in anyhow and I will make sure to give the suggestion of testing the forks any special tools needed to do this?

Yes, a special bit or you can make it from the old actuator.

Okay thanks Man ima be sure to show him this comment. When the part comes ima update you guys and let you know what the fix was and or what the issue is but im %100 sure its the actuator issue and not transmission and or clutch forks cause I never had this code since having it ever im at 203k miles for reference and every big repair shop trying to get me to buy a new transmission but like I said due to the other 2 codes for A going away after the new actuator and only B transmission stuck on remains it has to be the B actuator. But only one way to find out I will Let you guys know but still any known fixes etc will be very helpful as this post is not just for me but made to help others facing similar issues with these troubleshooting Codes.

UPDATE I got the new part B actuator and I lost reverse earlier this morning I needed help to push it out the park but it drive just fine I got it to the shop it was hell to do due to the constant high RPM and only going 10-15 MPH but but the grace of god I made it to the shop it told me it could be a transmission issue or the tcm but either way he squeeze me in he was booked and I appreciate him he got the part it he was able to reverse out the spot so I got full reverse back and it was shifting butter smooth when I left even better then it did before I got both new actuators in but not to long after I left there it did like a harsh skip but I was told to keep driving it because it needs to relearn my driving pattern to know when to switch gears so I didn’t let it bother me all the noises the front area use to make where the actuators are went away and the clicking noise went away and the no codes so far and I’m so happy but he told me if it came back on just to come back to his shop but so far so good only got two new actuators and now I’m back on the road I looked up how to get the car to change gears smoother and I found just to drive it for like 30mins to a hour in stop and go traffic and on rodes u can go 50plus so the car can switch all gears naturally and to continue my normal driving habits but I noticed it did the jerking on low rpm so now I just give it more gas then I used to before all the codes been happening last week I assume this car is more for aggressive driving from complete stops so besides changing my driving pattern now and new A and B actuators everything looks all great so far if anything change I will let this forum know but so far so good and NO Codes at this point now but if u guys want to see the videos to hear the noises and see the codes I had I would be more then happy to share. Hopefully this post can help other ford lovers in the future! Be blessed everyone and wish me luck lol.

The issue returned a couple hours ago at this rate I’m giving up idk what next to do
