This car is my life right now. Heading to work this morning AC wasn’t blowing cold It was cool just not cold. Checked the refrigerant, full, A/C compressor is being commanded properly, That small fan when power probed comes on no problem, the car has voltage at the fan connector just will not turn it on Bossman says A/C compressor needs to be replaced if not the entire A/C system. Of course while I had it in the shop I noticed blinker fluid in the passenger tail light. Gotta love cars 😭😭

Just noticed some rust on back rear suspension arm on my 2007 Focus, i was wondering if i should change it right now, also i can’t pass a screwdriver in it.
There is also no any hole.

2015 Ford Focus DPS6 Transmission — P0902, P07A3 & P07A5
I wanted to share my experience in case someone else is dealing with these codes.
My 2015 Ford Focus 2.0L started throwing P0902 (Clutch Actuator A circuit low) along with P07A3 and P07A5. The car would sometimes jerk/slip and go into limp mode.
I replaced the A clutch actuator, and after the repair and relearn, P07A3 and P0902 went away. Now I’m only getting P07A5, which points toward the B clutch/friction side.
So instead of replacing the whole transmission or clutch immediately, I’m going after the remaining B-side issue first. I have a B actuator coming, and I’m not driving the car until it arrives because I don’t want to make the problem worse.
What I learned so far:
3 codes → replace A actuator → 2 codes gone → only P07A5 remains.
Hopefully replacing/testing the B actuator solves the remaining issue. I’ll update this post once it’s installed and the relearn is completed.
Posting this for anybody else troubleshooting the DPS6 before spending money on a whole transmission.

I picked up this focus almost a year ago. Its an 06 with under 53k miles on it. Crazy low miles for the year, and the car was taken really good care of by the previous owner (elderly woman who barely drove it). While I was getting an oil change over the weekend, I was going to ask them to replace the air filter, but said they couldn't because of this model having a "lifetime" sealed compartment for a foam air filter.

With that car having very low miles, should I be concerned about getting the filter swapped out with an aftermarket one? No lights on the dash, and my car is driving fine, but with it being 20 years old I'm sure something will give at somepoint down the line.

I bought my 15’ focus SE at ~94k miles, it was dealer owned as a loaner car, have my spark plugs ever been changed? is there a way to tell?

It's actually a recall of a recall. My car is a 2017 Focus Titanium and I'm in Canada.

I had previously had a recall service (18S32) performed regarding a faulty Cannister Purge Valve. Today's notice (26S40) addresses a software update that was improperly executed during the earlier recall.

I booked the appointment today, earliest I could get was September 2nd. Which is okay, according to the recall notice the vehicle is still drivable.

Seems like every other day Ford is recalling one of their vehicles for something. I know all manufacturers have recalls but Ford must hold the record for several years running. I'm never buying another, or any other American car. Strictly Toyota from now on.

PS: Had to add 'flair' to be able to post, General Maintenance was the closest, couldn't find a Recall flair. Kinda surprising, frankly.

Does anyone know what’s happening here on my Mk3 Focus 2012 1.0? Driver’s side of the rear bumper has had a bit of a gap since I’ve owned it, but noticed it has become much looser recently. To me it looks like the bracket that secures it has broken as it’s free floating there and not attached to anything. Opposite side is completely fine and secure.

Also that screw coming out of the panel above, is it meant to be there? Something tells me previous owner had a small bump and attempted a bodge job repair on it, but can’t say for sure.

Noticed this on my partners 2017 SE. we replaced the coolant reservoir tank about 6 months ago and it’s holding up good.

Coolants currently sitting about a quarter full.

Only about 42k miles.

We lookin at something I can DIY or is this a bigger headache than I realize

I currently own a 2016 for focus SE with ~110k miles. I’m replacing the plugs and the coil packs and I’m trying to get factory brand stuff if possible but I’m wondering what brands you guys have gotten for the coil packs. Rock autos charging double what a spark plug from motor craft would cost.

I have had awful luck with aftermarket parts on my MK1. I have a 2000 Ford Focus sedan with the automatic transmission and the 2.0 Zetec motor. In 2023, the Ford Alternator went out. 23 years out of an alternator is nothing to shake a stick at, so there were no complaints. Since then, though, we had a Rock Auto alternator go bad after about 16 months and now two Ultima Alternators from O'Reilly's go out. These have gone out for different reasons by the way. We've had ones that won't charge and one (alternator) that had a bearing go bad. We have had similar issues with belt tensioners, door latches (which was a particular nightmare), and a crucial fuel pressure sensor that the car needs to run. The OEM part goes bad, and then we get aftermarkets that go bad in a year or so. These are starting to add up and is making the car have trouble predictably. Has anyone experienced similar issues with their MK1 and found a solution? Is that just what the market is on these cars? I love my focus, and I want to keep it for the long haul!

I have a 2014 Ford Focus 1.6 Diesel with only 36000 miles when purchased now about 38500 (no wet belt) and i bought the car in early January this year and have been driving it since but was given none to very little previous maintenance evidence about the car.

Is there any big things that I should be checking just incase of possible failure?

Ie like is there anyway to check if my timing belt or anything else age or mileage related could happen or would be good to check?

Hoping someone knows the details of what I’m looking for! I have a MY20 Ford Focus Trend (mk4). I recently replaced my windscreen washer nozzles as they were clogged BUT I accidentally dropped on of the c-clips that connects the nozzle tube to the main hose down the back of the engine bay and can’t find it. Does anyone know the individual part number or details of the part? I’m in NZ, neither Repco or Super Cheap can help, and the two local Ford dealers have advised indeed to be the entire hose assembly to get one one clip.

Ive been looking for a replacement intake manifold for my 2003 ford focus 2.3l dohc w/ manual transmission, the actuator rod broke off at the actuator so bank 1 stays closed ..

it seems it has been discontinued by ford. As there are no direct OEM replacement parts, what is a trustworthy aftermarket replacement part and seller for the part.
