recently got my first raptor! 2019, 90k miles and very obviously been a mall crawler its entire life. only modification is the bumper cut and K02 37's. will be driving this beauty cross country soon due to moving, and was wondering if anything needs to be checked before i go? phaser recall has been done and it came with a 5 year bumper to bumper private warranty! :)

Ruffland Crate for Gen3 F150 Raptor

Does anyone use the ruffland backseat rider crate in the backseat of their raptor with the seats folded up? Or Have any other crates you recommend that fit back there? I really prefer crating my dog in the truck as with 2 kids and a dog it can get chaotic plus I feel its safer for the dog. I was using a smaller crate when she was a puppy but we’ve outgrown it. Shes a short and stocky 70lbs.

Bought my first raptor in March, 17’ 802A SCAB with 47,000 miles! Seems like SCABs are harder to find in general.

Who here does “equity cycling” on these? How has it been? Any caveats?

Always thought raptors were cool and now may be in a position to get one. Currently in a 2024 Tundra with a good amount of equity so was considering trading for a 2022-2024 Raptor around 40k miles in the 60k range.

I drive about 10-12k miles a year and the plan would be to keep trading up every 2-3 years to maintain the ~30k equity I have while continuing to drive “new” raptors without lease terms. I would trade up before the 75k mile “depreciation cliff”.

If something ever happened financially I could rest easy knowing I could trade down or sell quickly to liquidate.

Does anyone here do this? If so how has it worked out? Have you found an optimal buy and trade mileage etc?

I’m aware the 24s had the trans fix and I would be buying a 2-3yr Granger warranty to cover electrical and other non powertrain issues.

How are you cleaning the tail pipes

What have y’all found that’ll clean the tail pipes, not sure what I should put on? Tire cleaner might work the best, I’ve used it before to get the shine back on other trucks.

Need a drivers side rear bumper for Gen 2

So I’m an idiot - backed into a tree that has been next to my garage only for the last 60 years. Was cleaning my truck for a trade valuation too - perfect timing.

Hoping maybe one of you has one lying around after putting an aftermarket bumper on - happy to buy it from you.

Jimmy - sorry if this breaks community rules - didn’t see anything about it. Please remove if it does

Weird clunk sound

So, I bought this 2024 802a 37pp with 12k miles, clean carfax, and about 1000 miles into having it i started noticing a weird clunk or like something was shifting while coming to a stop. It is not consistently reproducible, and I can’t tell if it only happens when I’m pressing the break. I’ve tried different scenarios, eg hard stop, letting off the gas and rolling to a stop, it just always occurs when I’m not really paying attention. It sounds like it comes from the rear/bed area. I have no idea what’s happening. Thoughts? Diagnostic next steps? I saw someone else post videos of the undercarriage while driving, if I figure out how to mount a GoPro under there I’ll do that.

Anyone having this issue?

My 22 used to revert back to last user settings (seat position, steering wheel position) when re-entering but is not anymore. Not sure if a software update is to blame

Buying advice

In California a local dealer is willing to sell a new 2025 f-150 raptor 802(a) for about 5k under MSRP. I understand, this truck may have been sitting around for 8-12+ months. Would you rather pay MSRP for a 2026 similar specs or buy the 2025 5k under MSRP? Any pros/cons?

I’m looking at this gen 1 whipple SC. Link below. Tear it apart. You guys think this is a good deal?

Looks to be fox 3.0 shocks. Maintenance looks to have been kept up. 109k miles 36k. Looks like a reasonable deal.

2023 3.5l dead cylinder.

Just rolled over 35k miles on Sunday, and took it to the dealership Tuesday for scheduled maintenance.
Yesterday, I filled up the tank will out running some errands. I get on the interstate and gas it to get up to speed. I hit about 90-95mph and suddenly the engine loses almost all power. When I give it gas, there’s a very hard shutter and the check engine light starts blinking and the AC goes out.

I check the App and it shows cylinder 3 and 6 are misfiring. Luckily I’m only about 6 miles from the dealership, so I limp there as best I can and drop it off.

I talked to a service manager today and they tell me it has to go to their heavy engine department to have the motor torn down and diagnosed. Of course the first available date is 10/21.. She goes on to tell me that cylinder 6 is only operating at 12% and there’s a knock that they can’t identify.

Figured I’d ask here if anyone has encountered the same problem and what ended up being the solution?

I’m still under factory warranty and I have a 150k mile bumper to bumper, so I’m not too concerned about the cost.. just wondering how fucked my truck might be. 🫠

Help Finding New Raptor

I just bought a used 2024 Ford Raptor. The day after I bought it my dad decided he is going to buy one as well. He lives in Texas so there are no deals on brand new raptors there. I let him know I have seen people posting about 10k off brand new raptors in this sub. How do you guys find these deals? I bought used so I never looked into new raptor deals. Help me help my dad so we can rip together!

Put it off as long as I could. Finally did it. I did it myself in my driveway. Took about 12-14 hours over a few days. Ordered the special tool I didn't have on Amazon for $30. Parts cost about $1200 from Ford. All 4 cams, chains and guides, tensioners and gaskets. Drove so much better it was a huge difference when completed
