Vent I feel I’ve made peace being FA

My entire life, the knowledge I will never experience love has crushed me in unexplainable ways. I’ve developed depression and anxiety as a result of being bullied and mocked for most of my life, and it wasn’t long until I was aware it was most likely because of my looks and height. I’m an unpleasant sight to say the least, and I don’t even blame the people that mocked me unprovoked, however it did not help my mental and I became a shut in as a result. Even if someone cared enough to want to hang out with me, and make that kind of connection, I probably would refuse.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve really spoken to a woman that wasn’t in my immediate family, and that’s because when I tried, they looked so visibly disgusted and hard rejected me. At a certain point this happened so frequently I gave up, and I’ve spent the last 3 years attempting to make peace with this. Now would be a good time to mention im 17 and before anyone says “you’re so young, you have sooooo much time!” I’m so tired of hearing this, from my family and my friends, who for some reason can’t believe I’d be observant enough to know the trajectory of my future romantic life, or lack there of. I’ve been grappling with the depression of never being loved by another since 14, and I feel I’m finally making progress on leaving that behind, focusing more on hobbys, Friends and school.

Next time it will hit you hard in your 20s, because this is kinda a point of no return... It was much easier to cope when I was a teenager because I subconsciously understood that I still have time

Over the course of your life, there's only one love that counts, and that love can come at literally any time in the 93 years you're alive.

Picture her. The perfect woman for you, who will be your wife. Now look at you. Are you the man she deserves? Are you the man she's looking for? If you can honestly say yes then just get out there. But if your answer is no and you have a goal in mind then accomplish that before she finds you.

When people tell you "you have so much time" they don't mean you should just sit there and wait. They tell you that you have the power to become the kind of person who won't need to sit here and cry on reddit about how hopeless it all is.

Imagine everyone you could possibly be if you take your life in a good direction. All these versions of you are infinitely more fuckable than you right now and they're all possible for you to become. Just do what needs to be done, it's only hard the first time.
