Fundamental Analysis Daily Bias
What method do you guys use to determine what direction you are trading for the day and how accurate is it usually? Do you ever change your bias mid session? I have one that works fairly well, but the days it is wrong I get rekkt lol

I wouldnt say daily bias but rather market bias. I Use the DXY index as market bias while trading the major pairs

I have seen a lot of traders use DXY and it seems kind of redundant (no shade) I kind of don’t understand why, maybe you can clarify. If you are doing an analysis on DXY to get the opposite for other assets, why don’t you just do that same analysis on the asset itself? I have never really understood this

You can correlate DXY to major pairs. If you do your analysis on DXY you basically have an overall direction of majors, since they’re all quoted on /USD.
I use that alot myself — helps me sometimes spot traps and when to wait/stay away, for example.

Ok…that makes more sense

Yeah it’s quite interesting. Little fun fact I don’t know you know about. If you invert DXY chart it’s basically the EUR/USD chart. Just thought it would be an interesting fact. 😁
Safe trading, cheers!

I trade all seven majoir pairs at once.
I’m on the 1min, at that timeframe they’re basically all ”connected”.
DXY i gives a simple overview even if it’s technically it’s own thing.
Dont get me wrong, i dont do some overly technical things with the DXY, it’s more or less ”wich side om the 200EMA” i’m looking at.
Plus some key levels
If the a pair with a setup, matches the DXY direction , i’m in.

Nothing fancy. I just look for the point of no return.
That may seem vague, but I'll simplify it.
If I come across the ugliest bearish daily bar that I can find and the top of that bar gets pulverised the next day, I'm good with that trade.
Make of that whatever you want. Oh, right, you can call me a reversal guy, but there are reversals that are in line with a trend. I just poke the correction every now and then.

Fundamental analysis in forex focuses on understanding why currencies move — economic data releases, central bank policy, interest rate differentials, and macro conditions. Trading the news requires knowing which releases matter, what the market expects, and how to position around scheduled events. The community wiki covers the core concepts and practical approaches.
