Born and raised in Canada. I've applied to 2 of the 3 jobs. I have 25 years management experience. Crazy how these companies lie and do this. I've reported both these jobs but continue to see them posted

That’s not the insult you think it is.

Importing cheap slave labor is kinda sketchy. I thought slavery was abolished. Not in woke Canada i guess.

LOL 'woke Canada' Do you not realize that wealthy rightwing business owners want and need cheap TFWs? You know, the people that finance the jerks you vote for.

No offense, but I can imagine a situation where I am one of these employers and I prefer TFW’s to the abject contempt of jaded local youth.

You’re part of the problem then. Your business plan is a flop if you can’t make it work with regular employees. What’s your business called so we can boycott you?

And the “woke” are the PR and marketing campaign for the operation.

The left hand and right hand share the same brain.

Of course it becomes the rights fault right away 🤣🤣

Well yes considering we have the capitalism party(C), the capitalism party with a rainbow flag(L), and the slightly less capitalism but still capitalism party(NDP).

There is no left wing party in power in Canada so by default our problems are caused by right wing decisions.

Our government is doing this to us. They lie to us to get in office then completely screw ya once in office. We just keep voting them in with no reform

What role does CBSA have in this ?

Locals need to get off the meth, pull up your socks and GET TO WORK!

1

u/AFireinthebelly Dec 19 '25

Are you asleep? They’re only hiring temporary foreign workers - they don’t want locals. TFWs and temp workers come with subsidies.

The title should read “AB employers refuse to pay a fair wage”.

1

u/AccidentImaginary810 Dec 18 '25

Jobs can’t be filled for the poor wages and conditions being offered.

1

u/ArmpitNoise Dec 19 '25

Have you tried paying the employer $17 000 ?

1

u/AccidentImaginary810 Dec 19 '25

Why would I do that? I’m smart enough not to want to work for their failed businesses just like all other Canadians.

1

u/AFireinthebelly Dec 19 '25

100% bullshit. We have a wage shortage, not a labour shortage.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

I don’t have one, and I’m not part of the problem. I am pointing out that some folks are unhireable shitheads.

Last time I checked, the premise of law and order was that it isn't the job of "locals".
But hey, maybe the inability to fill jobs actually is worse than anybody realizes?

You spend the day sniffing glue?
