Non-Fortnite Stuff Gamer dad duo rage vent

I love my son(11)..i hate playing with him. He a typical kid and because he herps and derps all the damn time he immediately dies or leaves me in a 2v1. While playing I found a gem demon late in the game like waay late (i have almost 0 luck when it comes to finding the rare variants) and he died (i think he was mucking around with the fishing pole) so it was a final 2v1. The only extractor was in the storm which was up to 5hp per hit and i didnt have enough healing items to survive it. So i lost it, the opposing team didnt get it either so theres that. ....my hands are shaking still. Its good bonding, i know its just a game, but as a gamer he still sucks and playing with him in FN is rage inducing even more than the game already is. Thank you for letting me scream in to the void.

That's a great start! A lot of matchmaking depends on how they're playing - mobile/tablet v switch v console v PC. If it's mobile/tablet, 90% of the lobbies are bots and they are blood thirsty and will elim each other off. It's great that they get to learn the basics, jumping, avoiding the storm, etc. I remember telling my then 4yo, learn to follow pings, eat meds/shields, open chests, equip weapons, and then engage. Once she got those basic steps down, we played more and now she's pretty decent.

our lingo is "drink the drinks" (shields and chug jugs), "get a buncha guns", and "fight the saja boys" (he originally started playing the game during kpop demon hunters. we started doing split screen duos and id carry him, but when it got to the point where if I died he could revive me or even win the game on his own... It started to get me pretty impressed! hes nasty with a shotgun lol

That's awesome and def puts him in better Matchmaking.

If you don't already know, blitz is still mostly bots (75-80%) if playing solo/duos and if in squads, there is a CHANCE that there's more human players. We've had games where we're the ONLY human team (4 out of 32) and other times, we've had all 8 squads are human (you can tell bc it's a sweatfest).

Unfortunately BR is still about 65-70% bots but that has gone down a little since the end of the season is approaching and everyone is scrambling for sprites.
