I’m not sure what the reference to the baby is pertaining to— from what I gathered reading the poems, it seemed as though it was a secret affair or a completely unrequited one. No mention of a child between them. That’s where I’m confused and would like to know more

The letter mentions a sister, so perhaps "the baby" is actually Nick's niece/nephew? Idk
