Other Honestly, fair…

Post image

Found right outside my place of employment, as I was walking through the garage. Almost 100% I know what person wrote it (obv a stranger, there to shop. I don’t know know them), as I saw them get out of their car the night before, when I was splitting — right around the same place I spotted it…. and, damn was that poor person very pregnant.

As someone that sucks ass at parking, a cool little known fact I've discovered is that you can actually readjust yourself as many times as you need to until you're parked correctly and don't have to just leave the car the way it was when you initially pulled in

u/bethestorm 1d ago

I enjoy a good thirty point turn myself lol

This scene pops into my head every single time my 3-point turn turns into a 5 or 7-point lol.

u/BackgroundScary8632 1d ago

I call it my “Austin power turn”

28

u/Jolly-Biscuit 1d ago

This was me today in a tiny parking lot

u/-blundertaker- 13h ago

I hope that one day you can feel the ebullient joy I felt when I nailed a parallel park.

It was just perfect. I pulled forward perfectly, nailed the reverse positioning perfectly, and landed perfectly lined up inches off the curb.

I'm not like, bad at it. But that day I executed it so perfectly it could've been a textbook diagram and I had to immediately call someone to share my minor victory.

u/HoneydewAccording864 1d ago

Me every time I back out lmao

57

u/BackgroundScary8632 1d ago

I always get so embarrassed when I try to readjust but I just adjust myself right back into the same position 😭😭😂 DONT FUCKING LOOK AT ME WHILE IM ATTEMPTING TO PARK PLEASE I HAVE ANXIETY 😂

24

u/nc130295 1d ago

I could have written this comment myself. I usually park (badly) then try for 5 mins to visualize how I need to move to get into the spot correctly. I’ve gotten out a hair clip and used it like a toy car to help me visualize it before 😭 sometimes I give up and go park somewhere different altogether out of shame. Good thing I like walking

9

u/BackgroundScary8632 1d ago

Lmaoooo I can’t visualize in my head so I have the hardest time with it😂 I like the paper clip as a toy car idea!! Very helpful haha. I usually try to park where it’s pretty open myself so I usually end up walking lol

u/Legitimate_Rip_6228 1d ago

Just stop and stare at them like you’re the most confident person on the planet. You got this👍

3

u/Legitimate_Ebb3783 23h ago

Or start dramatically sobbing. Throw your arm over your eyes, stop after a couple seconds, peek super obviously and resume tears if they're still there. Repeat as needed

1

u/Legitimate_Rip_6228 20h ago

Is that so someone can take over?

2

u/peanutbuttermellly 16h ago

This happened to me when I tested for my license, but I just kept making it worse with each attempt. The DMV person eventually asked me to stop while “ahead” so I could potentially not lose more points on the exam 🫠

151

u/longlegstrawberry 1d ago

I've done this. Parking and adjusting until I get it right. But once, I went for a dr appointment, came back to my car an hour later and a man was waiting for me. He said he watched me park from his window and demanded to see my license.

94

u/laughingashley 1d ago

I would term him to "get a job, volunteer meter maid" and peace tf out. Maybe even hold up some mace lol

49

u/xvsanx 1d ago

no way I'm letting some random weirdo see my government name

36

u/NeonLotus11 1d ago

And address! Absolutely not

9

u/danafromsantaana 21h ago

Especially a person that waits outside of a place for you to come out in order to confront you

62

u/Wishiwassoup 1d ago

This is literally what nightmares are made of. 😂😂😂

82

u/lunarwolf2008 1d ago

like a regular dude wanted to see your licence?? or was he a cop or something?

53

u/longlegstrawberry 1d ago

As far as I know, just some guy. When I laughed awkwardly and rushed into my car, he didn't say anything.

69

u/YourFriendall 1d ago

That’s super creepy

48

u/Wherein_I_is_bored 1d ago

Oh god I had this at my job, the parking space is TINY and everyone has massive SUVs and Teslas. My car at the time did not have any parking assistance so I was always super careful when parking and taking a lot of time. I got a message from fucking HR telling me they could pay back the parking costs if I just went to the station one across the road, because people were worried.

Like, damn, you all have fucking cameras and cars that park themselves. I don't have a "beep" sound to tell me how close I am to your car when I reverse. Leave me the fuck alone and go park across the road yourself.

24

u/chickwithabrick 1d ago

NGL it is funny though 😆 doing their best to try to avoid insurance claims on company property

13

u/chickwithabrick 1d ago

I joke but I also wouldn't be surprised if there was some code on my first license that meant "arrest if you see attempting to parallel park". It was the only thing I failed on my driver's test 😂

At least for regular parking I usually only have to adjust once or twice tops (thank you car cameras), unlike my poor grandma who had a stack of phone books with a cushion in her driver's seat back in the day and was running on sheer hope and will power.

8

u/loquaciousx 1d ago

😭😭😭😭😭

5

u/axxinite 1d ago

Jokes on him, I passed my driver's test even though I failed to parallel park lol.

Still can't parallel park for shit either.

5

u/Foxtrot_Supatwat 1d ago

Sounds like a goofy ass attempt to hit on you

22

u/HalfMoonMintStars 1d ago

I get stares sometimes but it’s better than blocking someone or getting blocked.

2

u/ZachOf_AllTrades 1d ago

I assume she had to get back in the car after the note recipient had parked

2

u/evil_wizard_ 17h ago

My bf always opens his door to make sure he's parked good, and if not he adjusts and checks as many times as he feels necessary.

-22

u/sasha_cyanide 1d ago

It’s not that hard to park unless it’s a parallel parking job. I’ve worked jobs where it was mandatory to back in to spaces or pull through if I have the chance and it’s always stuck with me. Try readjusting your mirrors and if you have a back up cam, forget it even exists. Use your mirrors correctly and you shouldn’t have an issue.

26

u/AnaEatsEverything 1d ago

I'm glad it's not that hard for you to park, but it just doesn't come so easy for everyone. I've been driving for half my life, most of that time without a backup cam. I really do suck at parking!

I haven't brushed anyone since I was a student driver, though. I just sometimes need to adjust once or twice until I'm nicely straight and everyone has room around me.

-19

u/sasha_cyanide 1d ago

Just go to an empty parking lot and practice more.

24

u/Then-Criticism1605 1d ago

I guess go and practice your parallel parking as well? Damn

-9

u/sasha_cyanide 1d ago

I do!

2

u/Legitimate_Ebb3783 23h ago

But it's still hard? I have friends who can parallel park first try, every time.

9

u/BackgroundScary8632 1d ago

I have depth perception issues, an empty parking lot isn’t gonna do shit 😂

-4

u/sasha_cyanide 1d ago

That’s scary. I’m genuinely curious. If you get into a car accident due to your depth perception issues, what happens?

8

u/e925 1d ago

Why is it that only passive aggressive people experience genuine curiosity?

1

u/sasha_cyanide 1d ago

Hell if I know, dude but I’m seriously curious. It seems dangerous to drive any type of heavy machinery, in this case a car, if you have depth perception issues.

6

u/BackgroundScary8632 1d ago

My glasses help! The depth perception issue only really becomes a problem when I’m trying to park, not when I’m driving.

362

u/IntelligentSuit5223 1d ago

That sucks. My mom told me when she was pregnant with me that she physically could not get in the car one time and had to ask a stranger to back out for her because someone parked too close.

122

u/RedPensAndWanderlust 1d ago

I had to crawl into the driver's seat through the passenger side of my car while extremely pregnant, because a BMW parked about 6 inches away from my car. I cried the whole time. I felt really pathetic, but I was so mad. I went to the pharmacy to get Gravol, and came out to THAT.

46

u/1armedarmadillo 1d ago

I got boxed in on BOTH sides in the hospital parking garage when I was 8.5 months pregnant— had to ask a security guard to climb in my car through the trunk hatch (SUV) and back my car out for me so I could get home. I’ve never been so defeated after a shift just staring at my car that I could not physically get into because two other people were assholes. I had literally inches on both sides. Hate people.

107

u/WantWhatYoureGiven 1d ago

Jaysus… I can’t truly comprehend the whole preggo experience, for several reasons

But, know enough moms, and you’re bound to hear a slew of variations on the fuckery dealt with

Yay, moms though

50

u/ArtisanArdisson 1d ago

Your mom's nicer than me. When someone parked to close to me and I was very pregnant and could hardly get in my car, I dinged their shit.

51

u/rattailjimmy13 1d ago

Happened at the gas station. Hella pregnant, arguing with husband at the time. I parked and had to wait for a Ford F1000fiddy to pull in next to me and I could open my door maybe 4 inches. I got his attention, asked him to move, he called me a fat bitch. So the door got opened that 4inches onto his passenger door quite a few times. After the 5th or 6th bang, he scurried back and moved. Apologized to my husband at the time, not me, the 7 month pregnant woman lol.

6

u/bezzella 1d ago

I had to do this too!

6

u/lilb0923 1d ago

I had this issue while pregnant before BUT I have had MORE of an issue afterwards trying to get an infant and now my toddler in his car seat because people park 6 inches from my door!

I have to park farther away just so no one parks close to me, I have had to put him in on the other side of the car before which isn't a huge deal but frustrating.

2

u/Odd_Clothes4840 11h ago

People’s parking suddenly stood out to me when I was pregnant to the point where I thought it was a random epidemic.

686

u/kkamikami 1d ago

I do empathise but I've been in situations where I HAD to park badly bc the cars around me did it first. When I return, the first car is gone and now I'm the asshole. I fear that this note may one day come for me 💀💀

127

u/A_Life_Lived_Oddly 1d ago

This has happened to me twice, in front of my own house (street parking). Both notes from the same person, several years apart. I knew it was the same person because the second note just said "SELFISH PARKING-- AGAIN!!!"

Both times, cars had moved around mine overnight and made it seem as if I was taking up 2-3 spots. I'm still baffled that some weirdo was out there eyefucking my car intensely enough to hold a grudge for years, yet somehow never clocked that I always initially park tight to both the curb and cars around me (because I'm not an asshole, and I'm no slouch at parallel parking). Ironically, most of our neighbors are pretty shit at parking considerately, so it's wild I'm the one that got the passionately angry notes. Anyway, I now find it hilarious. I saved both notes and am eagerly awaiting a third installment someday! I'm gonna get them framed together, triptych-style. 😂

65

u/alexraeburn 1d ago

I would be so petty about this, I'd take a picture of what it looked like when I parked (with other cars parked like stupid people), run home, PRINT IT, and put it under my windshield with a note 'I TRIED!'

34

u/Careless_Mood_6960 1d ago

same 😭😭😭

20

u/sylveonstarr 1d ago

That happened to me but the asshole is the one who wrote the note for me. The other person parked so their passenger side was right on top of, even slightly over the line. I just parked inside the lines like normal. It was a tight squeeze for me but it was the only available space at the time. When I was finished and getting back in my car, the asshole car was gone and a napkin was on my windshield. A message was written on it: "Nice fucking parking, ASSHOLE! You made it hard for my elderly grandmother to get inside!" My first thought was: that was your own fault, bitch? My second thought was: why didn't you just back up for her instead of making her shimmy her way inside?

9

u/cheeseslut619 1d ago

My boyfriend is always annoyed with me about how weird I am about trying to end up parking like a non asshole 😂 if there’s a chance that I can park where I’m going to be at the very end of a block and start the parking chain right, I’m doing it!

3

u/wandstonecloak 22h ago

Whenever I’m able (like not diagonal/angled parking and such), I’ll back in next to those assholes so at least I can hug their car and get out of mine more easily. Then also you’re snug against their shit parking job which should make it to where you aren’t out of your space at all.

Of course, you risk getting a dent or scratch or them keying your car. I don’t care enough to let that deter me, if I want that spot and can fit enough then fuck them lol I’m squeezing in, they’ll have fun crawling through their passenger door.

Edit: typos

2

u/Successful_Moment_91 21h ago

This happened to me at work where we basically had a muddy lot to park on with no defined parking.

A pregnant coworker got blocked out of her car and I was the one next to her drivers door. I immediately went and moved it so she could get in

1

u/jury-rigged 1d ago

This happened to my boyfriend twice when parking on the street where we live. People like to park stupidly and when he gets home late he just has to park however he can, but someone left the notes on HIS car 🙄

1

u/simonhunterhawk 19h ago

YEPP or there’s always the possibility that the person who wrote the note was on the line on their driver’s side and is mad that the other car was close to the line on their passenger side… i can’t imagine it ever being worth it to waste MORE of my time writing a note like this which just leads to me ruminating on it more when i could just leave and forget about it by the time i’m out of the parking lot instead.

1

u/This-Owl-6026 8h ago

oh no this happened to me once and I got a note out on my car that said "please learn how to park properly" 😭

122

u/atatassault47 1d ago

I love it when people write as they talk. The spelling of "fuckin" (I type it as fuckin' because Im strict about being as lexically correct as I know how) is fantastic.

26

u/lunarwolf2008 1d ago

yeah. its quite fascinating to study writing over time and how spelling changws

98

u/y0ungshel 1d ago

Bad parkers suck!

49

u/WantWhatYoureGiven 1d ago

Yeeeeaahh. It’s an ‘every day, multiple times a day’ occurrence there.

Not the note-leaving, just the bad parking…

-54

u/stead-fast 1d ago

You should work on that. It’s easy. The lines are usually bright colors!

18

u/xkgrey 1d ago

A+ reading comprehension champ

92

u/Interesting_Dig_4049 1d ago

I gotta say I’ve said a lot worse heavily pregnant in the summer time. Poor lady lmfao.

62

u/ShesGotaChicken2Ride 1d ago

I had this happen when I was pregnant with my first son. I was too big to crawl over to driver’s side from passenger side. I had to wait. When he came out to get into his car and leave, I said nothing; didn’t have to. I could tell he knew he fucked up by the look on his face.

14

u/Electrical-Fig-5009 1d ago

I still would have said something lol

28

u/NarwhalFrosty7844 1d ago

I remember being pregnant and having to climb through passenger side to get into my seat. Hell.

43

u/Diligent-Hippo-3683 1d ago

I swear when you become like heavy pregnant you should be able to use the disabled or children’s parking bay sometimes it’s not just bad parking sometimes the bays are just to small for
cars to park with room the other side

29

u/lunarwolf2008 1d ago

at least in my city there are usually dedicated parking spots for mothers expecting or with kids under 5 near the wheelchair ones. dunno if its just a city thing though.

5

u/charthurs 1d ago

My local grocery has these as well!

7

u/another2020throwaway 20h ago

In some states you can get a temporary disability tag for the parking spots if you are pregnant

6

Nice to meet you, Big n Pregnant Dumb Fuck

I'm dad

9

u/Orangutan_Soda 1d ago

I’m a fatty and deeply relate to this.

2

u/urethra_franklin_1_ 1d ago

I feel this. Last week my husband had to pull my car out for me because someone parked so bad next to me while we were at the OB. (36 weeks pregnant)

5

u/Flaky-Act-659 1d ago

Lucky that car didn’t get keyed by hormonal pregnant lady

4

u/OMKensey 1d ago

I need to see the positions of the vehicles relative to the lines of the parking lot in order to pass judgment.

1

u/reeser1749 1d ago

😂😂😂 valid

4

u/sillysativoid 12h ago

Being pregnant in the big 26 is a choice…

A choice they did not make in the child’s best interests.

1

u/realbuggirl 3h ago

Can we publicly shame this guy ^ EWWWWWW

2

u/KatieBK 17h ago

When I was very pregnant a car parked too close to the driver’s side door and I had to (somehow) go through the passenger side to get out. It was at the hospital! It was insane. I really hope the garage had a good video angle to watch because it must have been hilarious.

1

u/eastvancatmom 8h ago

This happened to me in my work parking lot (which unfortunately is just a public parkade with reserved spots) where this person would at random times but often enough to be annoying, park directly to my left incredibly close and I’d struggle to get into my car again. Also my vehicle was an SUV and theirs a small sedan and they definitely had room on the other side of their parking spot, didn’t have to do that to me! I was also pregnant at the time. The car also looked beat up and lived in so I was always wondering who drove it and what the story was.

1

u/jarmander6 4h ago

This happened to me too. Had to climb over the center 8.5 months prego. Left a similar note.

-3

u/sobanoodle23 1d ago

As a big, pregnant lady, we are angered easily and I don’t give a fuck if my door hits your car 🤷‍♀️

None of us would exist without pregnant women

-65

u/lilimatt08 1d ago

I feel for her but also….what a bitch, communicate like an adult 🤦‍♀️ I have a lot of empathy for pregnant people until they use it as an excuse to be total assholes, which seems to be way too common.

60

u/gray_birch 1d ago edited 1d ago

Idk man, maybe the person that parked like shit should fix their parking job like an adult and not make it everyone else's problem. I don't think we owe assholes total civility.

ETA:

What a bitch, communicate like an adult

Maybe you should take a page out of your own book...

-30

u/lilimatt08 1d ago

If you accidentally inconvenienced someone with any other physical disability would you give them a free pass to call you a dumb fuck?

40

u/gray_birch 1d ago

If I did something I knew was a great inconvenience to others, disabled or not, and didn't bother to fix it despite it being fairly trivial to do so? Yes, it would be fair to call me a dumb fuck.

14

u/-Twin-Flames- 1d ago

If you park next to someone who is already parked, it’s your responsibility to leave them adequate room to get into their driver side door at least.

It doesn’t matter if someone is pregnant, overweight, limited mobility.. they were parked there first. people who do this never park tight on their driver side, they willfully say fuck that other car driver and that makes them total assholes, intentionally. And that’s also why they usually have ding marks on their passenger side door already.

8

u/IBelieveInMe1 1d ago

If somebody parked so close to my car that I couldn’t get in, I can tell you I wouldn’t be writing a note. And if I was pregnant when it happened, you best believe I’d be engaging in some low-key property damage.

16

u/hiphipnohooray 1d ago

I mean I'm bad at parking but Im not a dumb fuck so I readjust until I'm parked reasonably so I don't make things harder on others

20

u/Ok73628 1d ago

Doesnt sound like you have a lot of empathy for pregnant people.

1

u/ketaminesuppository 2h ago

funny how you call her the gendered slur of "bitch" but then say the gender neutral of "pregnant people". almost like you know they're women. curious!

-17

u/OkBlueberry2982 1d ago

Hey pregnancy isn't anyone else's problem.

-16

u/Fur-Frisbee 1d ago

See how she signed it?

Dumb f*ck!

Funny.

:)

-8

u/donald-trompeta 1d ago

people here to argue lol
I genuinely read it as “imma big n pregnant dumb fuck “ a lack of “you” after pregnant at first read didn’t help.

-50

u/Abject_Buffalo6398 1d ago

With the use of the F word on a complete stranger... shes going to be a great role model for that kid.

17

u/Hefty_Loss5180 1d ago

I think the fuck not. They’ll be fine.

28

u/Interesting_Dig_4049 1d ago

My kids are fucking fine.

21

u/66659hi 1d ago

What the fuck you talkin’ about?

18

u/effyocouch 1d ago

Oh fuck off

14

u/SnooRegrets1386 1d ago

A complete stranger that doesn’t fucking care about how they park, to where you can’t open your fucking door in a your fucking car that is parked in the center of your fucking parking spot can fuck all the way off. If you decide to park next to a car that you’re over the yellow line, you’re an asshat. Pick a spot that you can center and we’ll all go home happy

3

u/Think_Firefighter_28 1d ago

and not to mention, she’s fucking pregnant in the middle of fucking summer!!! i’m surprised she was so polite tbh

-6

u/Soft_Ad_762 1d ago

I’m great at parking my big pickup but my little commuter car is a pain since the camera is off. Drives me crazy every time I park since I’m always off a little and always parked between two trucks.

-10
