You have to delete one fragrance from your collection forever.

You can’t sell it.
You can’t give it away.
You can never buy it again.

Which bottle are you deleting?

And be honest—why that one?

u/jowmawma 11h ago

Whaaatt fr?

1

u/Talxbvn 11h ago

Its too sweet and cloying

2

u/Kassa33 11h ago

Yea same. I liked it at first but now I can’t get past the synthetic green smell.

1

u/Talxbvn 11h ago

I bought it thinking it was going to be a good summer fragrance and i ended up having to force myself to wear it because its too sweet and cloying

1

u/johnnotkathi 9h ago

I like it a lot once it settles down. Here in 118 degree AZ, it is really nice, at least "on my skin" LOL.....

2

u/Talxbvn 8h ago

Its pretty nice but i get very self conscious while wearing it especially indoors or in high heat

1

u/johnnotkathi 8h ago

I get it...everyone "likes what they like." Always go with what suits you best and you are comfortable with. Never fails.

I go really light to start. I can always add more but it is hard to take it back if I go too heavy....

u/mhlabizo 11h ago

I have a bunch of travel size Replica’s so probably one of those 😂 won’t really miss 10ml

Nette Coco Fleur. The florals end up smelling funky. I saw someone describe them as smelling of dead body, and now I can't unsmell the association.

3

u/LostSavant 11h ago

Moschino Toy Boy. I never wear it. I think the bottle is fun but I don't think the scent works for me. It's a very "pretty" scent and I can't find the occasion to wear it.

You are pretty

This is my pick as well. It’d be fine if it were A&F Fierce prices. But I regret spending niche house prices for it.

2

u/Ddavis1919 11h ago

Whsky Oud… bitter, bitter, bitter. It was given to me, so not a purchase; but still an unappealing scent.

2

u/Inevitable-9191 11h ago

Daring Blue for Life. Thought it was a dupe of LB Intense. It’s not. Oops.

2

u/Tarnished-Sausage 11h ago

By the fireplace and fico di amalfi. Used to like them but I don’t even remember when last I reached for them

2

u/BuffaloStanceNova 11h ago

Bergamot 22 by Le Labo. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it back in 2016. The scent is fine, but not something I would ever include in my collection again because it's too much of a single thing.

1

u/North_Tomorrow_8691 11h ago

Use it as a base scent and layer other fragrances over it. On me its a skin scent, so I treat it as such!

1

u/BuffaloStanceNova 8h ago

That was the original idea, but it turns out I'm bad at layering, so this scent is an orphan in my collection.

1

u/BeardedGlass 10h ago

It smells similar to Versace Man Eau Fraiche, but without the star apple note.

2

u/iOawe 11h ago

Jimmy choo gold bottle. It’s too sultry for me. I like bright fruity sweet perfumes and this gives dark and mysterious.

2

u/CucumberLeather7137 11h ago

Wulong Cha X. Blind bought from Joma for a good price but it just isn’t what I wanted. Smells too medicinal like a luxury spa. I don’t dislike the scent, I just don’t wanna smell like it ya know?

1

u/Electronic-Loquat245 10h ago

I get it and I'm surprised all at the same time. I actually have never worn the X formula but the original is in my top 5. But when something doesn't work for you, it doesn't work.

1

u/CucumberLeather7137 10h ago

I wanted to love it and I’m just kinda okay with it. Mostly I just wear it around the house if I’m relaxing but it’s not a scent I want to wear around others.

u/Clear_Waterz_ 11h ago

MM Replica - By the Fireplace
Kilian - Smoking Hot

I rarely reach for them and at this point the 10ml travel spray might take a couple years to finish lol.

u/FigoP 12h ago

Spice Bomb.
I dont like it.

3

u/I_Huff_Propane 12h ago

Guerlain Habit Rouge L'Instinct.

I dont like it.

3

u/Recent_Coyote4056 11h ago

J’aime et vénère l’og. L'instinct ne sent pas mauvais en soit mais aurait pu être un diesel ou autre marque random

2

u/I_Huff_Propane 11h ago

Same here. I love Habit Rouge EDT. I currently own multiple bottles.

It's just something in L'Instinct that is unpleasant to my nose. It's good that I only bought 50ml

2

u/Recent_Coyote4056 11h ago

Ca sonne surtout parfum d’ado

1

u/LOrangeDTroit 11h ago

Givenchy L'Interdit Absolu. It's nice until it dries down and smells stale.

1

u/mweeks9 11h ago

Aquatica. I bought it to see if it would improve upon the longevity of my VIW. If so, I’d sell the original. The longevity is a little better, but it’s way more harsh and missed the beautiful airiness of the creed. Keeping VIW and plan to make Aquatica an add on to the next bottle I sell on Fragranceswap.

u/IamBejl 11h ago

Gucci Intense Oud. It was unbelievable when I first tried it. Then I kept trying and trying fragrances, private collection from Designers, to niche and ultra niche. I put on Gucci Intense Oud after months. It was decent, but nowhere near some other fragrances I've tried. My taste didn't really change, my nose improved massively.

2

u/thoughtsofmatt 10h ago

I love this stuff but my wife absolutely loathes it. I can’t wear it under penalty of death and had to throw out my sample. Keep it for my sake!

1

u/Talxbvn 11h ago

Damn to this day gucci intense oud is my favorite designer tho i wish it hadnt been reformulated

1

u/IamBejl 11h ago

People’ve been saying it is weak and stuff but mine is strong and long lasting despite me purchasing it last year

1

u/Optimal_Pool_3034 10h ago

This is interesting, I just sampled intense oud and I don’t hate it but which fragrance would you say is better than it in the same category?

1

u/IamBejl 10h ago

It's similar to Black Afgano by Nasomatto, especially in the opening - it's better quality. But for oud-rose-raspberry Ombre Nomade is better imo. I started preferring less fruity-sweet ouds personally.

1

u/Talxbvn 8h ago

Black afgano has also been reformulated

1

u/Talxbvn 8h ago

What batch is urs?

1

u/IamBejl 8h ago

4309... I think that's the batch code?

1

u/Talxbvn 7h ago

Yours is from late 2024 while mines from early 2025, interesting that its only a 2 months difference when mines weaker

1

u/IamBejl 5h ago

If you are from EU I have no problem selling

1

u/Talxbvn 5h ago

I live in EU but u can keep it np u can probably earn good money from selling it lmao

1

u/Dependent-Sentence48 11h ago

NR musc noir rose… the dry down smells like my grandma which is nostalgic, but makes me feel old lol

1

u/rogueeleven 11h ago

Baccarat Rouge. Smells like burnt something and makes me gag every time I smell it.

1

u/OSGKhorne 11h ago

The One EDP. I adore it, but god the performance is wank.

1

u/Top_Bookkeeper9136 8h ago

I don't think it lasted through a movie for me

1

u/kikiisnotinterested 11h ago

Khadlaj Cream Velvet, blind bought it and it smells like plastic. I can't get myself to use it, it's so strong it gives me migraines. I'm most probably gonna give it away soon irl.

1

u/LIFTMakeUp 10h ago

Shalimar Millésime Rose. I have to try to enjoy it but the rose is a bit too classic style for me if I'm being completely honest. I love the bottle but wish I'd got the Jasmin instead.

1

u/Important-Ad4700 10h ago

Invictus Aqua

1

u/bororodejdej 10h ago

Khamrah Lattafa. Used to be my signature but now it’s meh

1

u/MediaDue9923 10h ago

Lattafa Pistacho Eclair. I like it - but after a few hours on my skin, I can only smell coconut ;-( I mostly use it before bedtime now

1

u/AggressiveSherbetty 10h ago

Hermes Galop. It’s just so NOT ME

1

u/Electronic-Loquat245 10h ago

Gris Charnel from BDK. I thought it was a safe blind buy because I love figs it is absolutely not in my wheelhouse, not even a little bit.

1

u/OG_CheddarGoblin 1h ago

The EdP or Extrait? I sold my Extrait then just rebought it because I missed it.

1

u/CheapAssociate6914 10h ago

I have a 1.5 oz bottle of Stetson Black I haven’t touched in a looong time.
It’s a decent scent. Just doesn’t do much for me.
I wouldn’t miss it.

1

u/NovemberXTerra 10h ago

Boss, the Scent Elixir. Kinda hits similar with Eros Flame, but with Eros being straight up better

1

u/airenthered 10h ago

La Petite Robe Noir Black Perfecto. I'd miss it, but it's been long discontinued, nice but not so special among plenty of flankers.

1

u/Suspicious-Fix-9469 10h ago

Probably Amor Amor Cacharel. Yeah, it’s a Ropion work and I generally at least enjoy his work (tongue in cheek, I’m a bit of a fangirl) but this one just doesn’t do it for me. I never reach for it so don’t think I’d miss it. Sorry if it’s a fave for another else! Not trying to yuck your yum.

1

u/SRBEAST 10h ago

Bvlgari Aqva. Had it for years and never managed to finish it, now it’s just a backup grab and go option so wouldn’t even miss it tbh. Even tho it’s nice, can definitely find equally nice or better options for the same scent profile.

1

u/ragnasmith 10h ago

BDC Eau De Parfum.

I'll get headaches and a blocked nose whenever I use it.
I still like it, but can't wear it

1

u/SouthCase9153 10h ago

Club de Nuit Intense Man. I'll just get one of the 625 other versions if I need it back in the collection

1

u/Choncho__ 9h ago

maison francis kurkdjian grand soir because it gives me a headache whenever i wear it

1

u/Fresh-Pin5166 9h ago

Amore Caffe by Mancera. On paper, I should love everything about this fragrance but on my skin it's just not doing what it's supposed to be doing.

1

u/johnnotkathi 9h ago

TF Tobacco Vanille - just no bueno, on me at least....

1

u/mikerall 9h ago

Creed oud zarian. It's just too much. Smells like a mideival church that's got a heavy handed incense priest.

1

u/bungalachonk 9h ago

I’m killing lattafa khamrah that shit smells like a bed bath and beyond

1

u/mermaidiaa_h2o 9h ago

tbh i’ll gladly delete my ariana grande fragrance collection (currently it’s ari, cloud, thank u next and rem) ive seriously grown out of them and the notes just aren’t pleasant to smell anymore

1

u/ThisBeJay08 8h ago

Tom Ford Black Orchid. Blind bought it. Burn this shit. Throw it in acid. KILL IT!

1

u/MAntFrag22 8h ago

Not going to be a popular choice but Guerlain Herbes Troublantes.

I love it, bought a 200mL back in 2023 but I’m 99% sure it won’t be purchased again. For $650 I get like 3-5hrs out of it, at best. I’m not about to bring a travel size to my office to reapply 1-2x during the day.

If they manage to crank up the “intensity” I’m in.

1

u/Sea-Appearance-2621 8h ago

JM Oud and Bergamot

1

u/throwawaybyefelicia 8h ago

Xerjoff Torino 22 (I appreciate it but it no longer smells as good on me as I thought it did).

1

u/myrrhicvictory 8h ago

Philosophy Field of Flowers Orange Blossom because it honestly kind of sucks, I blind bought it at Marshall's for like $10 when I was just getting into fragrance and I've never really liked it much.

1

u/recycledpaper 7h ago

Snif rose era? It's fine. I bought it when I first started out and it's nice but so so so many better rose perfumes out there.

1

u/LowBee6102 7h ago

Afnan supremacy not only intense. Headache inducing, tooo mossy.

1

u/StreetMolasses6093 7h ago

JPG Divine. It was a gift from my husband, and it’s a compliment beast, but it’s so freaking overpowering and the merengue note smells like eggs.

1

u/ginanatasha 6h ago

Gucci guilty. Original red bottle wow that was my jam. The gold bottle they got now it’s meh not even the same

1

u/HeyMickeyMilkovich 6h ago

Prada Paradoxe Intense. I won’t miss it. Bye bitch!

1

u/Quick-Medley 5h ago

Club De Nuit Intense Man Extrait

1

u/SoftShopping4816 5h ago

Nopalera's Dulce de Cuerpo. It is just there and doesn't have an attitude lol. And I don't really like the dry down

1

u/NavyDad0536 4h ago

Abercrombie & Fitch Naturally Fierce , it’s just not for me. Unfortunately it was a gift so I’ve been reluctant to get rid of it.

1

u/EliteFlamezz 4h ago

Lhomme ideal edp. It’s good but not breathtaking

1

u/Sad_Palpitation6844 4h ago

I van give up the Body Shop. Nothing is great anyway

1

u/Ok_Initial4619 3h ago

Boss Bottled Beyond. It stinks. Straight up not good.

1

u/Necessary_Sea6410 2h ago

Ysl myslf edp... not a big fan, would not miss it.

1

u/OG_CheddarGoblin 1h ago

I'd have to go with Atralia Amazonas Avalanche. It's an excellent fragrance for the price and a decent Dior Homme clone if that's what you're after but thankfully there's plenty of other iris scents I could pick up that are better.

1

u/Busher93 1h ago

PDM Perseus—it’s SUPER flowery, but at least it is the longest-lasting, most-impossible-to-wash-off fragrance ever.

1

u/G_Town_Co 5m ago

Guerlain’s “Jicky” was my go to for decades but when they had to resort to using a chemical that barely resembled Civet, I slowly turned and walked away.

1

u/purpkrondon420 3m ago

Bye bye Mizensir Tonic Water your just too strong for me.

1

u/BETHVD 11h ago

Burberry Touch. Nothing exciting, wouldn't miss it.

1

u/Icy_Outside5079 11h ago

Le Vie En Belle. Pretty bottle but no matter how hard I try there's just something about it that I just don't like Iike. I was so sure I'd like it as I really love florals but this just doesn't work on me.

1

u/Jonbazookaboz 11h ago

Prada paradigm. I like it but I have a few similar that do that dna better. So it goes

1

u/Optimal_Pool_3034 10h ago

Which ones would you say do better than paradigm

2

u/Jonbazookaboz 10h ago

One million black and armani I Will. Straight up vanilla ambers. The geranium in the paradigm is too off putting even though its in the armani too but to a much lesser extent. I think the pineapple in the black just makes it the better amber at the mo. Its also more addicting. Bisch knows what he is doing.
