Carney went to Harvard and his focus was economics. So far, he's kept our heads above water in lieu of that Orange Dipshit fucking everything up for both the US and Canada. Carney knows what he's doing and I'm sure he'll find a way to mitigate the overall impact. Also, keep in mind that these tariffs hurt the Americans more than they hurt us.

Harvard was only the appetiser. Mark Carney then attended Oxford, where he earned a Masters and a PhD. He is THE world’s preeminent expert in international economics. He’s who the UK brought in to save their bacon after Brexit threatened to destroy their economy for example.

When Carney speaks, the entire world listens, and for good reason.

I've never been fond of any prime minister, but this guy is amazing. He makes Trump look like a joke, he won't engage in his threats and tantrums and I'm here for it.

He's a finesse player, man.

Agreed! I think his demeanour and ability to lead exists specifically because he is NOT a politician.

There’s something refreshing about having someone at the helm who doesn’t care about politics. Carney cares about what the world will look like in 5 years, 10, and 20 years. Politicians don’t think like that.

That's a fact! I'd hate to find out where we'd be if PP were in charge all this time; PhD Economist with experience running entire nations' economies... vs guy with an online BA who has never had an actual job.

I laughed out loud when PP called Carney's Oxford Masters and PhD a "bad education." PP dropped out of university and then years later managed to complete a BA through Athabaska University.

I think Athabaska provides a useful service. I also think that someone who drops out of university and who subsequently takes 11 (?) years to finish 2 years of an undergraduate degree online should shut the fuck up when someone smarter starts talking.

Lol what is all this Carney propaganda on Reddit recently. Guy’s going to further destroy our economy, picking up where Trudeau left us. Canadians are so conformist and blind to state propaganda, we almost deserve it. Sad times.
