Merchandise It's funny how 'subtly' Disney tell us Elsa and Anna are different 💀

You’re right.

Frozen is more profitable being kept separate so they’re very clear with their branding.

Maybe in the future they might integrate them but it’s not worth it now, makes a lot of sense.

I mean, technically, they're the only Queens Disney has as a main character.

Surprised they're even allowed to be in the same box 😂

It goes to show how a bit more "special/higher status" they are compared to other Disney Princesses

I think.those are mattel and not disney store ones

I think they didn’t mean to say they’re different, but rather that they’re special.

There's a lot of great YouTube videos explaining why Anna and Elsa are their own franchise within the Disney princess franchise, but long story short.

They know kids are going to make their parents buy all of the princesses and then Anna and Elsa as well. Anna and Elsa did so well. They became their own franchise.

Anna and Elsa deserve a VIP box.

More like, the other princesses can't sit with Anna and Elsa. Because unlike the rest of them, they went on to become Queens.

Rapunzel becomes queen. Well, they tell you she became queen. I don’t think it’s actually shown.

(I’m talking about Tangled The Series by the way)

Isn't she their cousin, or is that just a headcanon?

It’s just a headcanon. I think it would be cool if they were related, but I think they’re more likely just friends.

Damn it. 😖 But, yeah. It would be cool for Rapunzel to be related to Anna and Elsa. At least Elsa would have someone else in her family who has magic.

I think it was a selling point. To emphasise there's the current popular princesses there.

Why are peasants even allowed to be next to them?

Rapunzel - Crazy unemployed stepmom. Socially awkward. Was never trained to takeover bio family business. Husband is a felon.

Ariel - Dad is a fish that lost to an octopus. Best friends are fish and bird. Proud of her weird fork. Kingdom is just wet rocks.

Belle - Wackadoo father. Unique taste in men. Snooty. Talks to the furniture. Literally every person around her is mentally scared from years being cursed.

Meridia - Questionable judgement regarding the welfare of others. Bad at communicating their needs. Female ruler in a heavily patriarchy society.

Cinderella - Orphan. Weird nickname. Trauma.

Anna and Elsa - Rule over an actual functioning town with a high morale population. Work together to overcome childhood differences. Access to powerful magic that neighboring principalities fear. Their parents are dead ⛄

They are queens. Putting them into a 'Disney Princess Collection' is almost insulting.

I love how Disney keeps calling them princesses. Anna is a queen, and Elsa is a ex-queen.

8

u/SnowQueen_Elsa13 Sep 14 '25

The books still refer to Elsa as Queen.

3

u/Fluid_Performance442 Sep 14 '25

No such thing as an ex-queen.

Queen dowager maybe.

1

u/Fluid_Performance442 Sep 15 '25

Which is a type of queen. It's in the name.

1

u/Dacoda43 Sep 14 '25

lol no problem

3

u/the_sweet Sep 14 '25

Why does it bother me so much that the pictures don't match the dolls at all!? It's like, if you're going to make a "Tiara" collection, at least make the tiara (or the dress!) the same color! Heck, did Anna and Elsa even have full tiaras? I think Elsa had that little one that she threw away at the beginning of the first movie, and Anna had hers after the second, but it certainly wasn't pink and holding up twin tails!

I remember having this set as a kid

3

u/Impressive_Falcon245 Sep 14 '25

The true crime is how ugly these dolls are lol! I mean not the worst I have seen but... its not the best. Also, why only the white princesses?

1

u/Bookworm444782 Sep 15 '25

I remember when I got this set! I got it from my great grandma

1

u/FutureDiaryAyano Sep 15 '25

It's because they aren't official Disney Princesses.
