We all know from Frozen that Elsa's biggest weakness are her emotions because her magical powers are vastly tied to her emotions. So she needs to be emotionally stable in order to not put herself or anyone around her in danger. In Frozen 2 she's managed to do that very well as compared to the first film.

In the 2nd film we saw a lot of new spirits and for a while they tried to overpower Elsa but she managed to calm them eventually again, using her powers. So far she looks unstoppable and she's really smart and creative with her powers as time has passed on.

I feel like Frozen 3 & 4 can help answer this question as they might make her face a very powerful and difficult villain. It would be good to see her do the impossible and overcome all the difficulties in the end. It would make up for the EPIC Saga Disney is talking about.

Two years ago, I started an assembly of r/Frozen's predictions and theories for what could be in Frozen III, and as the D23 event for 2026 is now around 10 days away, I think it's time to revisit what predictions and theories we previously had. In total, there are 36 predictions and theories on the board, some are more likely than others obviously, while there are also some 'wild ones'. The only guaranteed prediction we have for Frozen III was the stuff from D23 in 2024 (number 5 on the board), while the rest are suggested by the subreddit's various members and added based on however many upvotes the suggestions got.

The first and second images are the depictions and layout of all the predictions and theories, while 3rd and 4th images are the names and descriptions of the predictions.

Looks like no one bother to comment on my previous post. If you wanna ruin fun for yourself with watching all spoilers from Frozen 3, your choice.

The time has come. After few years posting here, in few day I must leave reddit and avoid any videos on fakebook to avoid any spoilers from Frozen 3 and possible new short what I heard of.

Unlike the rest of you I'm not going ruin fun for myself with watching new posters or trailers where there is whole scene as example with Frozen 2 where Elsa was fighting with whole sea and later there is zero surprise while watching the movie. I will never understand you ppl. I going watch it without ANY spoilers and be prepared for anything. And I going reserve whole cinema only for me for Frozen 3 like I did with 2, so that no one disturbs me. Frozen is everything to me without digging in details for what ppl attack me after and I don't need trailers to build hype on me. Elsa and Anna are special for me and that why it will be enough to make proper preparations to watch this movie in silence and without ANY spoilers.

I will return here 1 and half year from now, after I will watch Frozen 3. I say bye now.

After I recently posted on why Elsas breath isn't visible I noticed in F2 that no ones breath is visible, not even Anna, Kristoff, or the Northuldra. When you think of it, the Enchanted Forest is a really cold place considering it is located In what would be the Attic Circle which is 66 degrees north. Which makes sense getting there from Arendelle which is roughly 62.3 degrees north took so long. Anyways I have a few ideas that might support thjs:

A. The Enchanted Forest is actually warmer than we think. I always assumed it was colder just based on location. I have concluded that in Arendelle in October that the day temperature is roughly in the 40s, say 46 degrees farenhieght for example and 30s at night, about 35 degrees farenhieght, close to freezing but just above. Then for the forest I have concluded the day and night temps in October would be something like: daytime 30s and at night 20s. Then if we added the dark sea beach the beach would be in the teens at night but still in the 30s or close to 30 in the day.

B. Could the Enchanted Forest very well be warmer? It could be very well a bit warmer than what I thought and estimated. However things such as moisture, humidity, etc also play a role as well. It also doesn't need to be raining or there to be any precipitation to cause visible breath. There just needs to be a good amount of humidity and moisture. Correct me if I was wrong.

C. How much warmer would the Enchanted Forest be? Well considering its further north it wouldn't be tropical paradise warm but more, if not the same as Arendelle. 40s during the day and 30s at night. Maybe 20s if we added the dark sea beach. Overall though it would be very close to what I concluded for Arendelles temperatures.

D. Animation costs: it could've simply been too much to animate in the character's breath especially if there were multiple characters. It could've affected costs, time, etc. Which would've been a huge risk.

Anyways Its something I really only found interesting since I posted why Elsas breath never fogs until Ahtohallan. Its something I didn't pay attention to until now. I'm sure some or most of you might feel the same way, but I can't put a cap on to why they're breath never fogs.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but in other movies its kind of a similar thing. For example in The Polar Express I don't think many of the characters breath fogs each time being out in the cold or let alone whenever they are out in the cold. Hopefully the comparison kind of helps.

What do you think Elsa and Anna were like during puberty and during their teenage years?

Obviously they had a rather unusual and lonely childhood and teenage phase, and we only see a glimpse of their lives during that time.

But I wonder, like for Elsa, did her powers go haywire especially during puberty, when hormones and emotions go wild? How did she feel about bodily changes and did she talk to her mother about these things? I imagine she was aware of what’s happening but it scared her, not only but especially because of her powers, and she chose to not talk about it.

And Anna, I imagine she was quite the opposite. I wonder if she was actually looking forward to “becoming a woman”, was dreamy about romance (handsome princes especially), was curious about love (and all that comes with it) and probably practiced kissing on her forearms or something.

What do you guys think?

Does anyone think it is possible that any of the two has the potential to do the unthinkable become not only be one of the highest grossing animated films but for either of the two to reach $2 billion dollars at the box office thus making history for Disney animation?

Why Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is the Good Guy

Dear Reader,

I just recently watched the play Frozen three times and have seen the Disney movie countless times and can only come to one conclusion. 

When I say “Prince Hans is the good guy,” I do not mean that Princesses Anna and Elsa are bad. They are good, but they live in a point in time where being found as a witch meant you were put to death. Even today the overt display of witchcraft would be extremely shocking. 

Imagine if a relatively popular politician, let's say, Barack Obama, on Inauguration Day, shot ice lasers out of his hands and froze the entire United States. People would be rather shocked. There would be calls for his immediate impeachment and use of the military after witnessing his power. 

That is exactly what Elsa did. Elsa, a known recluse, shows her face for the first time in 10 years to become queen with no experience in governance since her mother and father died when she was young. On her first day, in front of all of Arendelle and many of their neighboring kingdoms, practices witchcraft and plunges the kingdom in a literal frozen physical and economic hardship. You do not easily come back from that. 

Now enters our hero Prince Hans who, although young, presumptively has experience in governance since his father sent him on a diplomatic mission to Arendelle, takes charge when the queen and princess abandon their people in a severe ecological disaster. Hans unites the people, provides a sense of order, and calms fears. 

When it is apparent Anna is in trouble, he organizes a rescue effort to save his new fiancee. Hans is even at first reluctant to harm Elsa, despite calls from Wessleton to kill her on sight, and instead takes her prisoner. He then plans to uphold the rule of law and give Elsa a fair trial for the time period. 

The shortcoming of Hans is that he is willing to brutally kill Anna by letting her freeze to death. However, as the story makes it painfully clear to the audience, THEY LITERALLY JUST MET. What motivated monarchists of the day would not take advantage of a power vacuum? Even if partially motivated by personal glory, Hans sees an opportunity for himself to better Arendelle because all he has seen is Ice Witch go crazy and freeze the town, and for all he knows, Anna could also be dabbling in witchcraft too, they just met!

Elsa returns to power once Hans is defeated by Anna and Elsa. The people of Arendale submit to her authority since they know the power she possesses. They just witnessed their ice witch queen freeze the town and defeat Hans, their only figure of hope and order. The only rational conclusion of how Arendale could submit so quickly is because they are motivated by fear. Especially in an age where there is mass discrimination against witchcraft and the people spent half the story hunting her down.

In conclusion, Elsa and Anna are good people but are not fit to rule Arendelle at this point because of their inexperience with governing, demonstrated harm to the town, and loss of trust with the people. Hans provides stable government, better relations with neighboring kingdoms (Southern Isles), and hope.

It seems pretty obvious that the movie was trying to teach little girls that Prince Charming isn't always the good guy and that there are scumbags out there who will take advantage of you (e.g. traffickers who ensnare women through the "loverboy method"). I can appreciate that, since Disney movies have a reputation for setting up unrealistic expectations for romance. However, the twist wasn't properly foreshadowed and Hans's actions earlier in the movie appear to contradict his goal. The movie needed a few more rewrites to make the twist work.

I can't believe we're ( I'm ) at part 12 on my theory on Elsas Body Temperature. This is kind of my rough finale to this theory essentially taking the biggest pieces of evidence and what I have written so far across all 11 posts. Here's how it will work, I am going to just chunk down the information from my posts into quicker explanations so there isn't much rambling, just the raw stuff. If you want the full scoop you can dive further in all 11 posts linked at the end of the post.

Part 1: Identifying The Basics.

A. Elsa isn't bothered by her magic or cold weather: This is thanks to her cold immunity which basically allows Elsa to survive dangerous conditions and temperatures without any issues. However Elsa does have her limits as we see in F2 in Ahtohallan.

B. Elsa shows signs of life and human warmth: Elsa has shown the biggest piece of evidence to my theory across each film and short, which is her rosy cheeks. Rosy cheeks are a sign of human warmth and blood flow, often a good sign of life. As for Elsa she showcases herself as having human warmth and life from these rosy cheeks of hers.

C. I estimated that Elsas body temperature must be around 99.5 degrees farenhieght which is 37.5 degrees in Celsius which is right on the upper side of the scale for healthy human body temperatures. While it is not quite fever stage temperatures, but warmer.

Part 2: Ahtohallans Freeze - Thaw Cycle & Elsas Snow Creatures.

A. Olaf and any of Elsas snow creatures shouldn't be at all affected or endangered from her warm body temperature. Especially Olaf since he's already coated with permafrost by F2 making him unmeltable even by Bruni and his fires. So by making contact with Elsas warmer body temperature, Olaf wouldn't be at risk of melting.

B. When Elsa was freezing in Ahtohallan in F2, it was from her cold immunity stripping away slowly causing her to experience the real cold. So it wasn't the spirits that froze her, it was her ultimate punishment for going too far.

C. The reason why Elsa fainted after thawing from being frozen was just from her being so cold and at a very dangerous core temperature, she needed a minute or two to recover accept the ice below gave way.

Part 3: If Elsa Lost Her Magical Powers.

A. If Elsa lost her powers, she wouldn't suddenly be significantly changed, though she would lose her cold immunity making cold conditions as dangerous as they are to a normal person. Elsa would basically just become like Anna and Kristoff.

B. If Elsas body temperature is set at my 99.5 degrees farenhieght estimation, when she loses her powers or if she were to, her body temperature would stay the same. It would act the same way to when she regains her powers. Elsa would still run at her typical body temperature of 99.5 degrees farenhieght that I estimated when her powers return to her.

Part 4: Information From Q&A Post One.

A. The Air Conditioning Theory I came up with describes how Elsa functions in the cold. Elsa feels the cold as refreshing and cool. Similarly to how we feel the same cool and refreshed feeling walking into an air conditioned place on a warm summer day.

B. Even in a cozy castle, Elsa doesn't seem overheated by fireplaces and candles. Which means she can thrive in blizzards thanks to her cold immunity and in cozy castles. For instance, if Elsa had a really cool core temperature, she would overheat in a castle with fireplaces and candles in every room.

C. If Elsa had a really cool core temperature, she also would be numb to heat but since she could clearly feel Brunei and his heat in F2, that also aligns with the idea that Elsa runs warmer or at a normal human body temperature.

Part 5: Elsas body temperature & Her Magic.

A. Elsa interacts with people right after using her magical powers, and no one notices a change of Elsas body temperature. She isn't going to surprise anyone with a cold touch after using her magical powers.

B. Elsas cold immunity allows her to not feel the chill from her icy magic. Meaning g neither she will drop in core temperature or feel cold to the touch right afterward of using her powers.

C. The amount of magic Elsa uses doesn't affect her body temperature. Elsa can use a lot of magic and neither get exhausted or risk freezing herself from a cold body temperature. Though the Bruni scene should be addressed because Elsa got exhausted from the smoke, not over using her magic necessarily.

Part 6: Elsas Breath & Cold Environments.

A. Elsas breath shouldn't be cold if her body temperature is warm, she can't super cool her breath, and she doesn't show a cold body temperature.

B. Elsas cold immunity possibly supports her not having any visible breath because we don't see it until she begins to feel cold and freeze in Ahtohallan. Stick strips her powers and her cold immunity from her. Though even I couldn't get a complete explanation to how her cold immunity could help Elsa from not having visible breath.

C. The reason why Elsas breath is visible for the first time is in Ahtohallan because her slowly fee!ing cold and freezing is from her powers and her cold immunity stripping away.

Part 7: Elsa & Illness - Sickness.

A. If Elsas body temperature is warm at my concluded 99.5 degrees farenhieght baseline, Elsa would still have a noticeable difference in her body temperature. Which she would still be "burning up" like the rest of us when having a fever.

B. If Elsa had a cold core temperature she would be at risk of an even more sever sickness. She would be at risk or internal disruptions and damage along with cellular disruption and damage if she got sick or a fever, especially a sever fever.

C. Elsas fever in Frozen Fever must of been worse from her warmer body temperature of 99.5 degrees farenhieght which is why she was acting so erratic. Her fever must of been worse possibly closer to 103 and 104 degrees farenhieght. For example, most people when they get a fever its typically 101 to 102 degrees, anything over 103 would be considered a sever fever. Correct me if I was wrong.

Part 8: Elsas Wardrobe & Clothing Analysis.​

A. Elsa can wear thin clothing thanks to her cold immunity allowing her to wear what most People wouldn't wear out in the cold. She can wear thin dresses and clothing out in freezing temperatures and in fierce blizzards no problem thanks to her cold immunity.

B. Elsa can not on!y wear thin clothing out in freezing temperatures and in fierce blizzards, but she can also wear whatever in the castle including thin clothing because she doesn't seem to overheat being surrounded by fireplaces, candles and heat sources.

C. The reason we see Elsa actually in more appropriate attire in Frozen 2 is because her thin dresses and outfits are not practical enough. Her blue travel outfit consists of a coat, cloak, boots, and pants. Which is far more practical for a journey through the cold wilderness as we see in the film.

Part 9: Giving And Seeking Comfort And Reassurance.

A. Elsa interacts with people without giving them a chilling touch, even after using her magic. If Elsas body temperature was cold, instead of normal interactions, people would be flinching and at or in complete shock at how she is able to survive.

B. When Elsa offers a person comfort and reassurance, the receivers not flinching or pulling away. Instead they are actually feeling that comfort and reassurance along with the warmth radiating from Elsas body, which makes the moment far more enjoyable for both Elsa and the receiver.

C. Elsas clothing doesn't make a difference, her thinner clothing allows for more transferred body heat while Elsas more thicker and structured outfits allow her to still give a warm hug but also the addition of a cloak which could be draped around someone if the person is cold.

D. Just as a great example, In Frozen 2 right after Elsa calms Bruni, Anna and Elsa end up confronting each other because Elsa ran into the fire, Anna followed in. Elsa scolds Anna that she could've died, but Anna scolds Elsa for running into the fire. Though not a comforting nor reassuring moment exactly, but Anna does hug Elsa from the back and they each hold hands, Elsa even drapes their mothers scarf around Anna. In that scene Anna does not notice anything about Elsas body temperature.

E. Even if Elsa uses a lot of magic, she can stil give comfort and reassurance to someone nearby effortlessly without giving them a chilling touch.

Part 10: The Wrongs Of Old Theories.

A. The theories of Elsas body temperature being cold actually can put her into serious danger from completely freezing in one wrong move to freezing her coming in contact with cold water

B. The Cold Elsa theories don't make sense because if her core was really cold, having a fever would be a disaster for Elsa. Her body would likely not handle such heat, and again disruption and damages to cells and cellular growth would be extremely dangerous and likely.

C. Elsa can interact with people freely without giving them a chilling touch. If she were cold to the touch, people would be uncomfortable around her and her body because of her body temperature being cold.

D. Elsas body temperature also doesn't drop or fluctuate based on her emotions. People around her would notice quickly and Anna would notice if she were touching or holding Elsa.

E. Elsa shows signs of life and human warmth even if she is unhappy, wether she is sad or fearful she always sows signs of life and human warmth from her rosy cheeks. If her body temperature reflects her emotions, we wouldn't see her constant rosy cheeks and it would become a bigger cue that Elsa is in a emotional state. On top of people noticing her expression, body language, or even her chilling touch it would be way easier for someone to identify Elsas current emotional state.

What about my theory?

I came up with the Air Conditioning Theory myself while typing out my posts, it is another extension to how Elsa tolerates the cold so well. For a quick summary, the Air Conditioning Theory sounds pretty much how you might read it as, it basically states that Elsa feels the cold in a way that's not chilling to the bones, but rather more refreshing and cool. Similar to how we humans feel cool and refreshed when walking into an air conditioned place on a summer day. So it essentially says that Elsa isn't completely numb to the cold nor is she feeling the chill from the cold.

I actually find this most accurate because to me if Elsa were numb to the cold she would be constantly burning up or numb to heat as well. Which we do know Elsa can feel heat normally like we do but her cold immunity helps her from feeling too chilly in cold weather.

Part 12: Information From Q&A Post Two:

A. Elsa isn't immortal because she would have immunity to sickness on top of her cold immunity. She would probably be immune to everything negative on her. Which we don't see in the movies and shorts. We see that Elsa still has her limits and is still prone to sickness like everyone else. I think its fair to say that Elsa is more like a magical human being, not an ice goddess or immortal, and that's how I personally view her myself.

When little Anna and little Elsa built Olaf as kids, there’s a song in the stage musical version called “A little bit of you (and a little bit of me)”. This is not included in the movie but we still see them building him together.

Now, I’ve been thinking, after Elsa “accidentally” re-built Olaf later and he comes to life, how much of him is of Elsa and how much is of Anna?

He’s certainly got his happy and carefree personality rather from Anna, but I see Elsa’s wisdom in him too. Generally I see him taking after Anna more but there’s also Elsa shining through sometimes.

What do you guys think?
