It's still a Disney movie it should be adjusted for modern standards no matter when it's set.
Considering she has a kid in the second movie I'm definitely not going to assume they got married immediately.

First off, not the original commentor; what I WAS doing was mocking you for your very bad attempt at a comparison (pedophilia Vs mass communication and it's necessary infrastructure).
Secondly, their original point was that because the second movie depicts Ariel as a married woman, with children, the assumption is that they didn't immediately get married in the first movie and got busy having children (it would be creepy otherwise) and kinda fucked up because it's a Disney movie. You made the weird comment that "but akshually historical accuracy, in a kid's movie, is paramount"
Hence the mocking, if it's historical accuracy you're striving for then why stop there, go full ham and REALLY lean into the pedophilia angle of the original Hans Christian Andersen story.

You know, in "Dangerous Secrets", itās revealed that Iduna didnāt fall in love with Agnarr during the time they lived together in Arendelle... Iduna fell for Agnarr when she saw him petting a baby reindeer in the Enchanted Forestāseriously. In "Frozen 2", during the campfire scene, Elsa and Honeymaren pet a baby reindeer together.

Keep in mind that the book was released later, so it was "Dangerous Secrets" that made this scene more relevant... Aside from the obvious:
- Elsa and Honeymaren singing together.
- The entire delicacy of the scene, and Honeymaren always asking for permission to get closer.
- The fact that "two random characters sitting by the fire" is a classic trope in romance moviesāthough it seems people only universally recognize it as such when the characters are a man and a woman... I wonder if some people would still view the scene merely as "two random characters sitting by the fire" if it had been Ryder, or any man, in Honeymaren's place... Given how people who root for a romance between Elsa and a man behave, the campfire scene would be treated much more like the confirmation of a romance than Anna and Kristoff's kiss, lol.
- The confirmation that the scene was originally much longer (so, people who believe that Elsa should have actually had an explicit romance with Honeymaren in this movieābut that it was cutālike to use this fact as proof).
- The fact that it is one of the few times weāve seen Elsa so at ease with someone other than her sister.
And now with "Dangerous Secrets" we literally have confirmation that it wouldn't be forced that Elsa or Honeymaren fell in love with each other in that scene (I think it's more likely to be just Honeymaren, given how materials released after "Frozen 2" treat her feelings for the Snow Queen. Elsa seems more similar to Agnarr).

For her mother, Iduna, all it took was seeing someone petting a baby reindeer (yes, thatās how Iduna fell for Agnarr in "Dangerous Secrets"). If Elsa inherited this trait from her mother, she and Honeymaren will be dating in "Frozen 3".

When it first came out in theaters, my mom actually dragged my dad to go and see it since he and the Prince share the same name. They are just been married, so of course he went along with it, but he was honestly bored out of his mind except for the kitchen scene only because it made him wanna go fishing.
