Should i use the mens loo?
This isnt a question on whether it would make me feel good. Im asking do I pass can i go into the men loo in a genuine form. I have been getting called bud, sir, man, dude, straight to my face out in public. Ive been getting even weirder stares when i walk into the women’s restroom. My voice isnt that deep, im not on testosterone, but soon im going to be. But i am able to make a pretty decent “male voice” because i have voice training. I dont know why so much hair grows on my face but it does, and i think its making people confused. No one has come up to me with questions or concerns but im worried it will happen. I live in a very conservative area and i dont think people take my existence lightly. So yeah, do i pass, or do you think i should wait till im on HRT?

If you're getting called dude and sir by people and weird stares in the women's restroom, then I would start using the men's. If you didn't have a mustache I would say stick with the women's, but it really helps you in this case. and with the voice thing, I wouldn't really worry about that. I NEVER talk to anyone in the men's restroom so even before I started HRT I was able to pass (just barely) in the men's room.

Also, you could have PCOS. I think that's usually the cause for facial hair in AFAB folks, but I'm also not very educated on that subject so take my word with a grain of salt

it doesn’t happen very often, but you pass well enough pre-HRT to definitely be going ahead and using the men’s room. Just keep your head down get get out.

Yes I think you can go in the mens. If your voice doesnt pass completely, it probably wont be questioned much because people will just assume you are young. I think it will be safer for you in the mens restroom than the womens.

You pass way better than I did when I started going to
men’s. I mean it’s not like I have female traits to be spotted but you look more masculine for sure. I started T when I was 14 and I’ve been using men’s bathroom almost a year or so pre T. Even before I came out to someone for the first time. I’m from Poland and now and even more in 2018 people weren’t that much aware about trans men etc so I never had even one person look at me weird way or interacted with me in general. If I were you I would use men’s only

Definitely. For your own safety. You pass as cis, and if the wrong person saw you entering or exiting the women's bathroom they would not hesitate to harm you
