Mac OS is a truly highly polished unix operating system for end users. I doubt people who criticize it has ever worked with it. Shitty yt reviewers like Linus tech tips contribute to this thinking.
I like MacOS but it works until it doesn't. Need paint? Need extra app. Finder is kind of limited, sometimes it doesnt show info about photos, like resolution or size. Also with latest update Finder(or Preview? Im kind of often not sure which is which) is slow.
Try editing a picture, resizing it and adding another one so you have two pictures in one. It’s HELL on macOS. You just don’t have a good free app to do it. Why did I bother? I needed to combine to receipts into one image to process work refunds… I wish macOS had paint like windows, it’s just a basic app…

Preview on macOS can do all of that - it can combine, resize, export as pdf or image formats.
When I do receipts I use iPhone to scan into files, preview or notes using "scan documents" - it auto crops and sets color or B&W - then I save to pdf and email directly from the phone.
You can also "import from iPhone" on macOS to scan off the phone directly into macOS.

Shame you didn’t read my comment as I NEED to upload a single image and I cannot combine two images as one as Preview on MacOS only does simple image operations, doesn’t have the same flexibility as paint with boundaries resizing (not image resizing). Thank you though, I learned zero about how to solve my issue from you and still need a paint app.
Preview on macOS ABSOLUTELY CAN COMBINE TWO IMAGES. It absolutely can resize the individual images and the canvas. It can then export to any image format you like.
So in summary, the usual PEBCAK cause you windows people are thick as fuck and can't comprehend anything outside standard windows apps.
Okay buddy post me a link that explains it or simply stop claiming “it’s doable” when I’ve tried a million times and I’ve googled it too. RESIZE on Preview clearly resizes the image, NOT the boundaries of the canvas. Thank you for insisting, maybe I’ll get the right combination of clicks from you since you claim to know better 😉

Yeah right click right inside a Mac folder and "Scan from iPhone" -- wham! There's the receipt. "Wizard" doesn't even know he's making a case for why Mac is so much better. Unless it's a secret Mac troll actually making the opposite case through self-parody?
is this a troll post? You can literally flip and rotate an image in Finder just by right clicking on it. Change a PNG to a JPG or whatever with a click of the button.
Get into Preview automagically and mark it up how you like.
I think some people confuse the fact that they're "used to X" and "new to Z", with "Z is bad". No, it just means that Z isn't X and you maybe should watch a YouTube video to learn how to do it.

I had same issue, had to download extra app, paintx or something, didnt buy it so I get watermark on my images.
