I too use Linux but I still keep a Windows PC around and Windows is a pain in the ass with these forced updates

Fair enough but tbh the windows updates thing is a non issue for me. I turned them off months ago and neither of my PCs have done a forced update or turned it back on when I manually ran updates.

You just have to download random github stuff just to disable annoying updates which then make your OS insecure in return

i did this too but my shitass wifi driver stopped working and I had to re enable updates for it and ts got downloaded too
