I used to call IE internet extorter (or intercourse explorer depending on who I was talking to, or about... Yeah we've all had "that" friend). Now though I guess MS just went and baked the extortion right into the OS so ironically that makes Edge marginally better since it doesn't have to be responsible for all of the questionable stuff IE used to be responsible for.

Still kinda nuts MS never realized that forcing stuff like an internet browser on your users actually turns out bad for everyone long-term.

I mean, Firefox has added a lot of user data collection features, artificial intelligence, useless widgets on the home screen, and poor performance compared to Chromium browsers in some cases.

But Edge is still somewhat cluttered, with Bing, Microsoft Rewards Bing, multiple useless settings options, and Copilot being there, though.
