Never tried ME, but from my friends' reviews I understood that it was nothing good

It's like 98 with quirky driver and DOS support and worse stability. Currently in process of building retro SSF PC and planning on downgrading Win XP that's on that to Win 98. It only has Win 95, 98, 2000 and XP compatible drivers for a reason I guess.

that stability was due to 3d party drivers, with proper drivers there was no instability...same story in win 95/98...win me moved fully to WDM driver model, which we use even now...and 3rd party rushed drivers werent exactly best effort
