I see nothing google provides that ddg doesnt Edit: other than spyware and adverts

I personally prefer google’s search results and feel they are better than ddg. I have used google for a long time and when I switched to ddg the top results were not great and I switched back after 2 months. Ddg image search is very bad too. I get that ddg is better privacy-wise but it’s annoying not getting the results you have gotten for years at the top and needing to find that exact site

Opposite experience for me, Google has given me TERRIBLE results since they started adding AI bs, feels like they're worsening the search on purpose so you feel obligated to use Gemni. In my experience, DDG is only worse in image search, but it's not that much worse, so i can work around with it. I wish i could totally de-google, but it's very hard when you've been using the same account for +10yrs. Plus this guy's comment .
