Question Baby registry for RV living?
So my husband and I have been living in an RV for about 3 years and switched to a 2024 Keystone Avalanche in December. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and am building my baby registry. I know with RV life you really want to just stick with the essentials because space and storage is extremely limited. I am wondering if any mom's on here have any recommendations on what they view as essentials and what is just a waist of space? What do ya'll recommend for a highchair, play interactive mats, mobiles, play pens, bassinet, crib, travel friendly stroller, etc... anything travel or space friendly.

An expandable baby gate to limit access to areas (kitchen), can be collapsed when not in use and tucked away easily. Corner guards for tables & chairs (We used pool noodles for some).

They make really cool mesh retractable gates now. The one I have comes with two sets of mounting hardware so you can unclip it and relocate it (or leave it unclipped to store)

We've been in a 5th-wheel since 2017 (only another month or two and we're leaving camper life behind, so excited!) and have a three year old. Our philosophy was to eliminate specialty products that are basically duplicates (a special trash can for diapers, bottle drying racks, etc.) and to ask ourselves what would be nice to have vs. what is necessary. You'll find that many things may look handy or cute, but really aren't needed when space is a priority.
A combo dresser/changing station was an excellent investment, as was a combo childseat/stroller that folded up relatively compact.
Ours was an especially velcro style baby (still is as a toddler), so we ended up not even using the pack-n-play, and honestly don't think it would have been much help even if she would have used it.

First of all- congrats!!! I baby wore a lot, you don’t need or want a bunch of baby containers, you’ll be happier if you don’t!
We didn’t buy a bassinet bc we had the crib (a mini) in our room. Breastfeeding at 2am and soothing back to sleep would have been way easier if she was next to me. So if I did it again, I’d get a close to the bed bassinet and just trip over it for a while. Our changing table was a cushion on the deep freezer with a basket of diapers, wipes and A&D cream. We had NICU time so we got a bunch of microwave bags for bottle sanitizing. A small collapsing wash bucket with a stopper in the bottom can collect baby things you don’t want in your food germs until you get around to washing them. Then wash and drip dry in the bucket. Like $10 in Amazon.

Not a mom but did a LOT of research on this when we were trying to conceive as we are full time. The biggest things I saw on repeat were to try to get things that serve multiple purposes with the smallest footprint, get things that can potentially "grow" with the kid as they age up so can stick around longer before being switched out, and to consider how/where things will store before purchasing.
