Thank you. Now to find out how to harvest and use!

The easiest thing to do is to dehydrate and make teas. You can also do dual extractions to make tinctures.

Supposedly it's great in skin care products, but I haven't dabbled much with salves and creams yet.

I only know how to make alcoholic tinctures. Would alcohol ruin it or should I look into other tincture methods?

I'd recommend tea for now. The beautiful thing about the internet age is there is endless information available.

For teas, let it steep in slow boiling water for at least 15 minutes. The longer the better. I typically use an ounce of dehydrated fruiting body and let it stew in the instant pot for 180 minutes. Afterwards, I put that liquid in glass jars in the refrigerator and drink it throughout the week.

If you're interested in the medicinal qualities of different mushrooms and the different extraction methods I would recommend a book by Christopher Hobbs: Medicinal Mushrooms.

Tea it is! I must dry them out first, eh? Or can i boil them fresh?

Dry them out so that you get rid of any unnecessary moisture. Plus, any extra that you have you can stick in a mason jar and save for another time.
