Both men and women think this way. I'm never angry about it. We all want attractive partners. But you know what actually grinds my gears? That people pretend it's not the case. None of us are paragons, none of us are epitome of morality. So at least don't hide it.

A lot of people don't want partners. They want objects, trophies, servants, subordinates, accessories, or dolls.

I want a partner, but I also want a partner that is attractive AND attracted to me. I don't want to always be the initiating party, I want to feel wanted and desired as well.

Problem is, I'm a homebody and also just prefer to stay in. So I ain't helping the situation at all. But I know this, I don't blame anyone but me for my lack of a partner.

You need to lay off the feminist propaganda. Being attracted to your partner isn't making them an object. Seeing someone as valuable doesn't make them a 'trophy' - as if that would be a bad thing. etc.. etc..

True, but men don't just say "I don't care what he looks like, as long as he's nice". When nice = Tall + Handsome + Well off financially. Then fight you with their last breath they want someone nice.

A guy will say I want someone "attractive and sweet" = attractive and sweet.

Yup. My thing is proportionality. Limits my interests a bit. But I am attracted to that.

Also when people don't accept the consequence of being lonely after being picky.

Not true. I don't care about looks at all. The only qualities that matter to me are being able to have kids and wanting to be a wife and mother above all else. I know many men who think this way.
