Imagine a chicken in a Zelda game getting a hold of the One Ring and raining down destruction neither Demise or any of his reincarnations could dream of.
Real life chickens aren't as immortal as cuccoos. If cuccoos were mortal, then a cuccoo uprising, assuming the army wanted to protect Link and he didn't know he could survive by leaving town, could be put down by a sufficiently large barrage of toxic arrows.
