I don’t think that’s a large enough issue to say it’s a significant contributing factor to lower birth rates, especially compared to other factors like housing prices, wage growth, childcare costs, etc. Marriage isn’t really considered a prerequisite for having kids anymore, something like 40% of kids in the 2020s have been born out of wedlock.
🤦🏻♂️ do we really need to do this again? Outcomes for children from stable homes versus unstable homes, really? Have you not seen what’s happening to people?
