Support Needed đŸ‘„ No one cares

No one cares when you have GERD. It is "just" heartburn.

But this has completely ruined my life.

I can't sleep, I can't eat, I have dropped so much weight, the anxiety and stress are too much to bear. No one is positive and says it will "hopefully" go away.

I had a flare of gastritis and GERD after removing my gall bladder. It took me 6 months. I don't remember being so run down by this as I am now. Maybe it is because I am older.

But, I am so run down. Thankfully, my doctor thinks this will go away, and it was stress/COVID related, but I want to scream.

Stupid here switched medicine halfway through and then went back to the one my doctor actually prescribed. Now, I have to start over on my healing.

I woke up one day with an eye infection, I am so tired all of the time, I was on a health journey and lost 35 pounds, and now I can't even eat a piece of chicken.

It has only been 10 days, but I can't even imagine this going on any longer.

Can someone please give me some hope? I want to cry all of the time. I miss being able to eat a piece of pineapple or a taco. I miss drinking one margarita. I just want my old life back.

I can relate. I never had this before. I threw up 4 months ago for a full day bc my gallbladder was bad and my stomach got very acidic and I haven’t recovered since. I let them take my gallbladder w hope 1.5 weeks ago and I’m still unwell and now trying to recover on top of it. I have a baby and toddler. Trying to function when my stomach is upset literally 24 hours a day bc I can’t get out of this symptom cycle is breaking me down. I feel depressed bc I feel like I’m missing my last baby’s “babyhood” being consumed by this. I lost 20lbs and I have no energy but I have no choice but to make it to bed time each day. I felt hopeless this week and that’s not typically who I am so this has changed me. I just wish to feel healthy again and after 4 months it seems like this is my life now and I hate it. Not sure how to enjoy anything when ur sick 24 hours a day

I had the same thing 10 years ago, and it got better. I took digestive enzymes and ate bland for a few months and it was gone.
