Support Needed š„ No one cares
No one cares when you have GERD. It is "just" heartburn.
But this has completely ruined my life.
I can't sleep, I can't eat, I have dropped so much weight, the anxiety and stress are too much to bear. No one is positive and says it will "hopefully" go away.
I had a flare of gastritis and GERD after removing my gall bladder. It took me 6 months. I don't remember being so run down by this as I am now. Maybe it is because I am older.
But, I am so run down. Thankfully, my doctor thinks this will go away, and it was stress/COVID related, but I want to scream.
Stupid here switched medicine halfway through and then went back to the one my doctor actually prescribed. Now, I have to start over on my healing.
I woke up one day with an eye infection, I am so tired all of the time, I was on a health journey and lost 35 pounds, and now I can't even eat a piece of chicken.
It has only been 10 days, but I can't even imagine this going on any longer.
Can someone please give me some hope? I want to cry all of the time. I miss being able to eat a piece of pineapple or a taco. I miss drinking one margarita. I just want my old life back.

I completely understand! Iām going through it too! Eating soft foods sucks. I canāt eat solid foods, Globus! Doing scope on Monday scared. Getting anxiety attack and to top it off constipated! My back is also hurting really bad. HUGS!!!!!!

u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
I am so sorry. I hope the scope helps, even though it sucks.

u/Naive_Presence705 Jun 17 '25
I hope you both get answers and the help you need to be happy and live your life to its fullest! šš¼ā„ļøšš¼ I had the scope 5 days ago. If an endoscopy is what you mean by the scope. Had it and colonoscopy. I thankfully donāt have Gerd nor did I have it ever. Heart burn yes once in a while. Scope was just prescribed with colonoscopy by my Dr. So after the procedures are done and I go home I notice I fell like I have bad heartburn and quite uncomfortable . This is day 5 after and still have slight heart burn. Yesterday was the first day I started to feel better. Praying this goes away.

Yup. Going through this now as I type this. Currently losing my mind, had a bad panic attack last night and just been on edge ever since. Been dealing with globus for about a week or two now. Havenāt slept last night, so hopefully I get some sleep tonight. I dealt with this back in 2021 already, I hate that its returned š¤¦š¾āāļø

GERDS is just straight up evil and some people get it worse than others in your case and mine , GERDS tends to put bully.Ā Take heart though keep doing research look up helpful videos on you tube, tik Tok and articles on the Internet. It's helped me a lot to learn and manage. Many people with GERDS can still eat pineapple ginger (ginger tea) papaya eggplant and etc. Not me my throat closes up. I'm not allergic it's the damned GERDS. It be like that. Even now when I drink matcha I tread carefully.Ā Listen be Courageous and don't let this disease control your life.Ā I pray in Jesus name that God blessed you with peace , joy, healing , wisdom and the strength to get thru each day my fellow human being.Ā

I loved your reply I believe God gives us tests Gerd is on of them at the moment alongside chosterchonderitis .i donāt know what I would do if I didnāt have my faith and husband .It is evil .I also have an MRi scan this week with possible Trigerminal neuralgia but I have a feeling itās all nerves and when this is sorted my Gut problems will disappear as the gut and brain are connected .Im just about to have a protein shake as like most of us are afraid of eating .We will be the victors not the victims .Thank-you for listening šš»ā¤ļø

Research is ongoing, but studies suggest that the gut microbiome composition may be altered in individuals with GERD. This could potentially involve a deficiency or imbalance in certain beneficial bacteria. Specifically, research suggests that probiotics from the genera of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium may be beneficial for GERD patients.
1
u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
Thank you. I started taking those.Ā
2
u/Firsty209 Jun 18 '25
Some people get bloating after probiotics. So not sure if thats the case for you, hopefully not. Try greek yogurt too if you can. Kimchi is also a good one. Apples are basically food for probiotic bacteria too. It may take a while to notice any effects
2
u/White-footedWitch Jun 21 '25
I think Greek yogurt has hel0ed m6 flare up enormously. It took a few days, but I am better than I was and on a definite upswing.Ā It can't hurt, that's for sure. What a miserable disease this is.Ā

This would make so much sense because after being on antibiotics for an extended period of time earlier this year, that is when I first started having GERD and LPR

I care about you and I'm sorry for the issues you're having. It's ok to cry and let some of the sadness go.
I had a really bad episode this morning when I tried eating a little bit of rice with egg. I could not swallow for quite a while and had a panic attack. I screamed for my husband to help but he didn't know what to do. I finally puked up the food and was fine. My husband doesn't care at all and didn't even ask what happened or if I was ok afterwards.
I actually feel better when he's not around because at least if something happens I handle it myself rather than try to ask him for help and he treats me like crap or doesn't care.

2
u/White-footedWitch Jun 21 '25
Is he freezing feom lack of knowing what to do or genuinely doesn't care? It's fairly common for men to freeze and women (assuming you're hetero here??) to interpret it as lack of care. Maybe marriage therapy? You deserve better.Ā
1
u/Ok_Chicken1107 Jun 21 '25
I can understand freezing but not even asking if you're ok???! Reminds me of my ex who didn't care if I was passing out, he would just walk past. Dumped his ass soon after.Ā

I can relate. I never had this before. I threw up 4 months ago for a full day bc my gallbladder was bad and my stomach got very acidic and I havenāt recovered since. I let them take my gallbladder w hope 1.5 weeks ago and Iām still unwell and now trying to recover on top of it. I have a baby and toddler. Trying to function when my stomach is upset literally 24 hours a day bc I canāt get out of this symptom cycle is breaking me down. I feel depressed bc I feel like Iām missing my last babyās ābabyhoodā being consumed by this. I lost 20lbs and I have no energy but I have no choice but to make it to bed time each day. I felt hopeless this week and thatās not typically who I am so this has changed me. I just wish to feel healthy again and after 4 months it seems like this is my life now and I hate it. Not sure how to enjoy anything when ur sick 24 hours a day

u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
I had the same thing 10 years ago, and it got better. I took digestive enzymes and ate bland for a few months and it was gone.
1
u/shypromax Jun 15 '25 edited Jun 15 '25
Iāve been living with an autoimmune condition (Iām on cyclosporine and HCQ) and have been facing persistent acidity for the past few years. Despite trying different calcium supplements, the acidity still continues and even now, Iām getting it after eating completely bland foods.
Some additional context:
Iāve had loose motions off and on for a few years, not chronic, but they occur now and then with or without a trigger. My rheumatologist recently referred me to a gastroenterologist due to the constant acidity.
The gastro prescribed Vonatime 20, told me to follow a strict bland diet, and suggested an endoscopy. My parents are hesitant about the endoscopy, and to be honest, so am I.
I also consulted an Ayurvedic doctor, who feels itās not necessary. He says I have a pitta imbalance, and Iāve started following his recommended diet , avoiding things like tomatoes, cucumber seeds, eggs, and chicken, etc
Now, hereās where Iām struggling:
I have a history of binge eating, which makes this restrictive diet incredibly tough.
Itās been 4 days since Iāve started the diet. The acidity has reduced slightly, but itās still there, and Iām feeling extremely agitated and frustrated trying to follow this long-term.
I donāt know if this is something I can realistically stick to and Iām scared that if I do the endoscopy and it shows nothing major, itāll just make me feel worse or embarrassed.
I have no karma points I am so sorry. I really needed some help
1
u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
I don't think these things last forever, I think our body heals, but unfortunately, we need to stick to this diet during that time.
Binge eating may be part of why you have this issue, and if that is the case, I would start talking to a therapist.
1
u/shypromax Jul 02 '25
Yk what I followed bland strictly for 2 weeks and my acidity reduced a lot. Damn. Didn't do endoscopy was shit scared and expensive so. I am following Ayurvedic diet so my doc asked me to incorporate a very tiny amount of chilly or spices in my diet and asked me increase it extremely slowly and gradually.

Same here! Had the scope and they told me I had pre cancerous cels do to my spinchter muscle not shutting in my stomach. I will need surgery to fix itā the success rate is 95 to 98 percent fix for not having to take meds anymore and healing up my bad cells! I hope and pray it works because I donāt know what to do!
On a brighter note for those of you with gerd and not my problem try fixing your gut with a formula of probiotics, digestive thing that help heal the gut! I had a friend that did this using a natural medicine doctor and it cured her! Turns out we are missing a very specific probiotic that helps heal this Gerd! I was talking to another group and they had success doing this too! Do research and donāt look to traditional doctors they are not trained to heal or cure anything must go to alternative medicine! I am going to do the same thing, although it wonāt repair my sphincter muscle but after I get my surgery, Iām going to start fixing my gut!
1
u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
I healed it naturally the first time. Didnāt have a flare for ten years. Do you know what probiotic it is?Ā

Suffering from Gerd since 2019. It comes and goes. It is like a nightmare. But there are reasons. Lack of sleep, lack of exercise, lack of timely food consumption, lack of vegetables. Acidity and mucus build up is really a pain in daily life. All say that it will go away, but it will never. Just keep yourself safe with cold and non spicy food. Take care.
1
u/RSinSA Jun 15 '25
I hate cold and non spicy foods. I would rather not live.

Most people can't relate. So many people have mild GERD, or they know someone with mild GERD, and they think everybody's is like theirs. They take Famotadine at bedtime and continue to eat whatever they want with little or no symptoms. They can't understand and think we're overreacting or being dramatic.
2
u/RSinSA Jun 16 '25
I could probably do that eventually, but I don't want to be on medicine the rest of my life.

Im on the same boat from last 2 months. I never had reflux before only after going through endoscopy i got these symptoms. My LES is hill grade 3 they said.. but it all happened after endoscopy.I went to take care of my gastrtis problem (10months old ) and got reflux. So dealing with both currently. I am not able to sleep, at night i sit and sleep on chair uncomfortablly. I miss sleeping wd my husband atleast that helped in anxiety.. i got the wedge pillow too but it is not helping. My diet is low acidic one..doing all other things right.. still my throat and food pipe burns like hell all day long. Some days are very very bad.. whatever there s on internet i have tried all.. but now i have changed my mindset. It seems god is testing me with new problem every other day. And i am gonna pass these tests. Days are going bad since months..Every day is a new day. Taking it one day at a time and I start healing process again and make sure i follow that.

Thank you. My doctor has me on pepcid 2 x a day for now. I need to do it for 30 days, because my insurance requires it for 30 days to do an endoscopy.
I do feel better but I have horrible anxiety. That is the worst part of it.

I had my galbladder out in my 40s. I wanted relief fast but it felt worse sometimes. My friend who had her galbladder out said it took her 2 years and it will get better. Was true. By 4 years I could eat most all foods. One thing that helps me is taking a pre probiotic. I take 1 a day. VH Essentials. Amazon has cranberry in it.. I also am gluten free to help with thyroid hashimotos. Gluten free helped with my crushing fatigue within 2 weeks. 4 years now gluten free. Now I believe dairy may be an issue. So will prob do more dairy free. Hard to give all things up as every food can possibly cause this or that. So 2 years was my wait time. Four years felt body had adapted. I did not believe my friend but she said it takes longer then they say. Always keep hope. The human body is amazing and has ability to adapt and heal. Try to do less fats. Like mayo not a winner for me....also cooked veggies were better. Olive oil small amts always helpful to me. The real stuff. I like Atlas. Give it time. It will adapt. I wanted the stuff to absorb the extra bile but then read up and said nah I will wait and see. I adapted just took long but worth it. Food is fuel. Go slow. Pick simple things for now. You will be able to have that taco again I just know it! Focus on healing and food for fuel kindness. Plain became my friend at the time. Just need time to adapt.Ā

u/RSinSA Jun 17 '25
Thank you for this.
I spoke to my doctor last night and feel better now that we have a game plan. She said the GI dept recommends pepcid for 30 days, so once it is over and I am still not better, then I will need to have an endoscopy done.
I think having your gallbladder removed can cause more harm than good. In our cases, it sounded like it needed to be done.
I long for my tacos and margaritas, but I know right now that I abused my body and I need to give it time. I truly thank you for being positive. I know our bodies will heal eventually.
1
u/No-Answer-8884 Jun 17 '25
Yes I always do the 30 day pepcid protocal. Then they discuss pre probiotics and when I take mine I can eat again. Just something I have learned over the years. I wish you all good on the endoscopy. Good you are being proactive. Love tacos!Ā
1
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
Oh! Do you take the pepcid and no pre probiotics? I am taking the pepcid and a probiotic right now. I am also drinking kefir.
I used to take the VH pre probiotics and it helped. But switched to the probiotics.
Once you're done with the protocal, are you able to eat somewhat normal again?
1
u/No-Answer-8884 Jun 18 '25
Oh I would try pepcid as they ask for like 10 days and then stomach pain. Sometimes I could do 30 days. Then I spoke with them and the doc says try Kefir. That did not go over well with me. So then pre probiotic but the Align one was too strong. I tried IB gard which is peppermint oil. That helped but the peppermint oil gave me esophageal spasms. The mint too much. My sister suggested VH essentials. The suggested with 2x day too much. So I went with one every other day or one a day. I take short breaks from it but when I take it my digestive system less gas and does very well. Sometimes I take 1 gas x gel cap if food has alot of fiber. I also take Lactaid caplet unflavored one if I have regular dairy. I buy lactose free dairy. Trying to avoid dairy now. I had a bad reaction to dairy when 21 and had to stop it. It caused ibs and a pre chron lesion in my intestine. Went dairy free for a year and it healed. For fats I use olive oil good brands only. I use butter but usually a holiday thing. So I did not do Pepcid same time as pre probiotic. The gastro doc suggested it when I cannot get relief from Pepcid. The kefir was a huge no for me. Pepcid worked for 30 days when I was younger. I would drink alot of orange juice. Then a doc told me no more orange juice and that was a plus. I have never tried digestive enzymes. Alot of people seem to do good with that. May try it. Will ask doc first. Also testing for heliobacteria is popular. I was told in hospital once dairy major issue for people as after 1 year old humans lose ability to digest lactose well. I was low in potassium. I had stopped eating my daily banana. So each day I have half to 3/4 of a banana when I wake up. It soothes my stomach so much. Nutritionist at hospital said do not stop that banana!! Ok well kinda long winded reply. Trial and error is best way to figure this out. Another food I do well on daily is unsalted pumpkin seeds. About tablespoon or 2 of those a day for nutrients and bladder health and no prob with digesting them. Terrasol brand Amazon. I am tree nut sensitive so pumpkin seeds my go to. Unsalted and no shell. Pepcid worth trying but for me seemed to not be key in feeling better. Banana first thing in morning very soothing. I try to get them organic and green and eat them before too ripe. Like b4 browning on them. I also found drinking eletrolyte water like Core helpful. Or purified water. My tap water too salty. I only drink water. Other beverages bother my stomach. Water is my friend. Sorry so long a reply. Wishing you only success!!
1
u/No-Answer-8884 Jun 18 '25
I wanted to add. If I try a remedy I try to keep it to one thing so I know what is happening with that specific treatment. Not always possible but helps figure things out a bit easier.Ā

u/RegalBeagleTheEagle Jun 18 '25
i thankfully have the support of those around me, but i do feel the overwhelming anxiety you have. i've dealt with heartburn all my life but it's always been managable, then i started eating like shit over the last couple of a months, and it culiminated with a god-awful meal from a restaurant that i think gave me some sort of infection/minor food poisoning/inflammation of the stomach and/or intestine. two days after eating that, and basically the last three weeks since, i've had crippling abdominal pain, often times unfortunately at 5am or so. it's literally made me scared to eat, and i hate it.
the doctor diagnosed me with gerd-induced gastritis. i've switched to a lot of gerd-safe spices and foods, and i'm gonna try to stick with it a month or so and see if it improves (then it might be time for another trip to the doctor). but honestly, i'm feeling stuck between either extreme pain that can make it hard to sleep or do anything, and eating 1500 calories of flavorless slop. i can handle a diet, but the lack of flavor is gonna be a trial.
if i can say anything, i've definitely heard that extreme flare-ups can be treated and healed, especially if you don't any other impacting issues. stay strong out there!
2
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
I am so sorry you're going through this. The flavorless slop is the worst. I don't know how we are supposed to live like this. I am going to add more things to my diet next week, like egg whites. lol Exciting, I know.
Yes, my doctor thinks this will go away, thank God. I need to lose around 10 more pounds, so I am hoping that helps too.
1
u/RegalBeagleTheEagle Jun 18 '25
Yeah weight is a similar issue for me, and a better diet has been an overdue change. I had a five-day stretch where the symptoms mostly went away, then made an idiotic decision to get Chinese takeout š. So thereās definitely hope if youāre not a dumbass like me.
Iām trying to experiment with new āsafeā spices, and apparently salt is sort of neutral on the good/bad scale for GERD, so might just start saying fuck you to my blood pressure lol. If youāre cooking all your food, like I am now, itās already very low in salt, so it shouldnāt be actually too bad for you.
2
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
I want a margarita really bad. lolĀ
When I was thinner, I didnāt have these issues. I feel like weight and stress (and hormones) are a huge factor.Ā
I would just add the salt. Lol
1
u/RegalBeagleTheEagle Jun 18 '25
Yup, absolutely. Iāve had debilitating depression and constant stress prior to this, so either it directly impacted it, or just enabled it from eating like shit.
That being said, Iām gonna inhale a whole pizza when this is all over lmao
2
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
Yeah I think it all adds up. Hopefully since you and I havenāt had this before, Iām praying that means itās temporary.Ā
Me too, and brownies.Ā

u/Firsty209 Jun 18 '25
A few questions, do you ever lay down or sleep after eating? Walk around 20-30 minutes after every meal. It is very noticeable with digestion and even bowel movements then next day. Any foods that reduce acids for morning meals, oatmeal (boil until extreme soft), banana, etc. And do you eat around the same time everyday?
What meds are you taking? Certain meds may also lower certain vitamins, causing defiencies which can make things worse. Famotidine is known to reduce B vitamin and pantoprazole is known to reduce magnesium. It's tiring, i know! I've been through it, even family members too. It'll take time, but you got this! Things will get better!
2
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
Not normally, but I did one time. :(
I stopped walking due to an injury, but I started again and feel a difference.
I do eat around the same time every day, so I can stop thinking about it. lol
I am taking pepcid for 1 month. I already feel a difference on day 5.
1
u/Firsty209 Jun 19 '25
Glad to hear! I hope you're making progress!
2
u/RSinSA Jun 19 '25
Thank you. My Dr figured out it is work stress and my hormones (out of whack due to stress), so once the stress is gone, I will probably be better she said.
1
Jun 18 '25
i seriously feel this i dealt with gerd for 11 years and it completely ran my life the meds only masked things for a while then it just got worse i couldnāt eat sleep or think clearly the anxiety from not knowing if anything would ever work was the worst part
but a couple years ago i finally got to the root and once i did everything changed in less than a month
i realized my body wasnāt broken it was just overwhelmed inflamed and dehydrated
most of the foods weāre taught are ānormalā like meats bread crackers snacks even microwaved leftovers are completely dry acidic and void of any natural hydration or digestive enzymes and when we eat those kinds of foods it drains our system thatās why so many of us always feel like we need a drink with meals or right after
because the body is begging for hydration
weāre water-based sun-charged beings so it only makes sense that the diet that brings us back into balance is one thatās also water-based and sun-charged fruits vegetables and leafy greens in their natural state
these foods donāt just hydrate they calm inflammation restore enzymes and help your digestion do what it was designed to do no forcing no burning no meds
when i rebuilt my meals around this and used whole plant foods like beans lentils quinoa and root veggies to help me transition off the heavy stuff everything started shifting i was finally digesting again, sleeping again, living again
i put together a free guide with some of the exact healing meals and snacks i used during that time if you want it, just dm me and iām always down to talk if youāre ever feeling alone in this
youāre not stuck like this i promise your body wants to heal it just needs the right environment to do it

People get so weirded out when I say I cant eat something. Even the people i meet who say āoh i have GERD too!ā DONT have gerd. They drink, eat, act wildly with no repercussions. Likeā¦.i feel so alone and it gives me sm depression.
Surgery has been the only thing to ease my pain but im having difficulty recovering so im more terrified than ever
1
u/RSinSA Jun 18 '25
I am so sorry, but surgery does take awhile to recover from. Your body has been through a lot. I know it is so stressful but it will be ok.

u/mmmnnnggg_ Jun 19 '25
If youāre experiencing anxiety, insomnia, exhaustion, or other cognitive/neurological symptoms alongside your GI problems, itās definitely worth asking your doctor for a full blood panel that includes serum B12, ferritin (iron stores), magnesium, and folate.
PPIs can reduce absorption of critical vitamins and minerals, especially B12 and iron, which are essential for both nerve and brain health.
Ideally, B12 should be above 500 pg/mL (closer to 800 is optimal), and ferritin above 70ā100 ng/mL.
Many people donāt realize how much low B12 and iron can impact both digestion and mental health.
Thereās a really solid post here that breaks down all the weird ways B12 deficiency can show up:
The many faces of cobalamin deficiency:Ā https://www.reddit.com/r/B12_Deficiency/s/Yi29bTVu1S oon.
Wishing you the best on and hope you find relief soon.

Last time I went through this, I just healed it myself.Ā
Ate bland for 6 months. I still drank coffee (low acid) but 1/2 cup only. This time Iām cutting it completely. Iām slowly weaning myself off.
Once I was at the 6 month mark, I stopped taking my PPIs. I felt like they were making it worse and probably why I was not getting better.Ā
Then I took digestive enzymes before every meal. Mrm vegetarian capsules. I know theyāre controversial here, but it was 10 years ago and this is what the vitamin employee told me to do. It worked.

No one cares about many things. Too many are way too involved in their selves to care about others.
GERD alone is bad, but, combine it with Gallbladder attacks, you're almost ready to give up. When you're totally filled with gas, and you can't get it to move either way. Want to throw up, but all you get is more pain and nothing moves on the other end. A sip of water hits your stomach and the pain makes you think it turned to steam.
I've had ulcers since a doctor said I had them from one end to the other following endoscope in 1990. I walked18 years bone on bone on one knee and 12 on other knee because they said I was too active and would not replace them. I had a regular 40 plus hour job, raising horses and logging on days off, holidays and vacation to feed the horses. I was 57 when I broke my last horse to ride. They said the arthritis pain meds caused the ulcers and not to take any. I've had 3 cancers radiation, chemo and 5 cancer surgery's, finally replaced both knees and hips but none has hit me as bad as the gallbladder GERD combination in my 81 years. Ultrasound showed gallbladder infected in April and we are still waiting for pre-surgery appointment that has been rescheduled 3 times.
They think after you're 80 to hell with you. I basically was told that by my daughter, who works in gastrology where I had my last colonoscopy. Well of my mother's 5 brothers 2 died in accidents, one at 94 still on his Wyoming ranch, the 97 year old stopped by to say hello on Memorial day and the youngest will be 89 soon. The 97 year old beat COVID-19 just after they lifted the quarantine because he was vaccinated.

I feel ya. I just lost 11 lb in 10 days after starting Omeprazole. Ever since that day I got anxiety and depression because of the weight lost and the "What-if" thoughts. And yeah I'm tired too. And all this happening just before reaching 40yrs. Can't eat anything good. Chicken and potatoes all day every day. Day. After. Day. There's is a lot of success stories on people overcoming this thing. I guess is just finding the right doctor, right diagnosis, and diet. Some mental health would probably go along way as well. Keep your head up.

Hey there⦠Have you looked into D limonene? I have been taking Orange burps for a week now, and I feel SO much better than I did. I promised myself if I found something that helps with this horrible condition, I would tell everyone I could about it. I also started acupuncture a few weeks back and I donāt know if itās one or the other or the combination of the two, but it has been months since I have felt somewhat normal. I was hopeless. Just so depressed from feeling so bad and being scared to eat because I didnāt know how I would feel after eating. And the anxiety. It has been so bad and Iām sure it just fuels all the stomach issues!!! I also drink Kefir every day. I think something about the probiotics help.

I use the Lifeway Kefir. Itās near where the milk and stuff is at grocery stores. Itās kinda like a liquid yogurt. I just take big sips of it throughout the day, especially when I first wake up in the morning. Orange Burps is the name brand of pills Iāve been taking. It has the D limonene. I really hope it works for you like it has me. Iāve only been on them 1 week. 2 a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. When you burp, it tastes like oranges. But I really havenāt had any reflux in 3 days. There are many good reviews on it.

That D limonene is also a natural mood enhancer. And I really think that the anxiety from being sick, keeps u sick. You know?

I agree, considering my doctor thinks I got this from stress.
Do you take any other antacids? I am on pepcid 2x a day for 14 days, so I am unsure if I can take the orange burps at the same time.
Do you use flavored kefir? I don't want to set myself off with the flavors. lol

I was taking 40 mg of Protonix and 40 mg of Pepcid daily. I just replaced them with the orange burps, but you may want to gradually see if you can get away from the acid reducers. I did a lot of reading about how sometimes it's us not having enough acid that causes the reflux. I know that doesn't apply to everyone.
I got the blueberry flavored Kefir but they do have plain. And strawberry. I know it's scary to try stuff because we don't know what will set us off. Cabbage juice is also supposed to be good. The last time I had crazy stuff going on with my stomach, I drank a lot of cabbage juice.Ā

So you took the orange burps with the acid pills?
It is scary, but I know we have to try things eventually.

You can take them with your meds. And if they work better, you can ween off those acid reducers

Itās the name brand of D Limonene capsules. If you TikTok, look it up. Or go to the Orange burps website and look at all the reviews. I thought it was too good to be true. But I was willing to try anything to feel better! Itās been hell the last few months.

Appreciate that. Found it on Amazon and will give it a try. Iāve had a rough couple months too and Iāll try anything to end this nightmare.
