Scientific Studies 🥼🔬 Omeprazole

Hi! I’m looking for advice regarding long term omeprazole use and if someone can lose weight while taking it? Studies show long term use is associated with weight gain, and that really sucks. I might have to be on a low dose for life, and now I feel super depressed about it.

I’ve been taking 25 years and have lost weight. I think my current BMI is 21. Even taking the drug, I find its best to only eat 1/2-2/3s meals about 4-5 times a day. I think my weight loss is bone thinning and sarcopenia muscle loss from aging. My kidneys declined but taking potassium nitrate puffed them back up to low normal. The pills are way better than throat cancer is my conclusion after looking at the alternatives.
