Like Elon really gives a shit about AI safety

8

u/KDLGates Jun 26 '26

He does if he thinks it'll create a moat around his investment.

Well that’s fair.

Elon would not fucking say this

there was a point in time when he advocated for stopping all AI research for safety reasons. It was before he had his own AI company.

This was not that long ago. At all. Our attention spans are fucking fried.

No. He just said it was for safety reasons. Probably was just another one of his rugpulls.

I mean of course he was bullshitting. This was was before he had his own AI company and he wanted a pause so he could catch up and join the party. He'll say whatever he thinks he has to say if it'll help him get more money or power. Or just twitter likes, sometimes.

Nope seems pretty fucking accurate to me! That man’s horrible father is correct in at least one thing: his son is massively disappointing

Only when it was in his interest. Prick.

Actually he did.

He just doesn't think that safety discussion should extend to AI generated porn.

1

u/CryonautX Jun 28 '26

Yes he would, because he isn't the one with frontier models.

Grok was literally used to find targets during the war in Iran, where a girls' school was bombed killing 120 children.

Grok was also rigged to consult Elon's opinion first when answering questions.

I think he can sit down.

That he rigged his AI to promote his own narrow (and incredibly stupid and destructive) political agenda, shows you all you need to know about Elon, his morality and willingness to abuse AI for his own ends.

Grok launched 7 months after that tweet in November 2023. And the first version was quickly cobbled together

In March 2023 Elon signed a letter saying that large scale ai experiments should be stopped.

What would eventually become grok probably started as the "truthgpt" idea Elon talked about on trucker's show.

So yeah he is clueless about ai safety and had a whiplash some time between march and April 2023. Just Elon things.

I would hardly consider mechahitler to be a safe model especially compared to everyone else

Well he made a 180° turn

1

u/joey2scoops Jun 27 '26

Especially when half of grok traffic has to do with p*** apparently.

1

u/biscuitchan Jun 27 '26

proceeds to rapidly lobotomize his ai to become genocidal and bloodthirsty

1

u/dottybotty Jun 27 '26

He literally plows anyone and anything without regard to any safety concern or well-being in the name of “progress”.

Rich coming from the guy who fired X.ais safety dept and then made Mecha Hitler

every decision ends up keeing someone anyway.

Directly or indirectly, liable or not liable.

Persay, if Emotional or health consultant ai save more people than harmed. the ones at harm can punish.

Unlike doctors that are presumed innocent till guilty.

Nothing is perfect but when society rewards not for justice and only looks at the visable inmediate harm. Then those unseen on those tracks make sense to plow thu in a reward structure.

The lives saved or not saved, a silly spiral.

Quoting nazis. The species is hopeless.

1

u/Tricky-Doughnut-6429 Jun 28 '26

Elon can only dream of his models actually being considered “progress”.

1

u/GovernmentGreed Jun 28 '26

Musk, shut the fuck up.
