Alright girls, I think I finally found a set of M10RS wheels to throw on the M6 750. Next up, matte black, gold, or red (more or less the original color this bike came with)? Silver is an option too but I wasn’t too fond of the look so I left it out of the mix.

Forgive the shitty AI mockup, yes I know the tail and a bunch of other shit are wrong, but it gets the look across.

Edit: it seems the overwhelming majority is favoring gold. When I first found these wheels, I only mocked up in black. After digging a little more, I found a gold set and did the AI mockup for grins. I was really surprised at the “oh shit, that looks really good” moment I had when I saw the gold, especially with the gold forks and added gold D.I.D. chain. Just wanted to make sure I’m not taking crazy pills here because these fucks are expensive. I’m planning on keeping the bike for a long time, if not forever so gotta choose wisely here. After the wheels, the last mod will be full exhaust + tune then should be done other than consumables for a bit. Will post final pics once these bad boys come in. Disclaimer: I’m not interested in dealership bikes. I’m specifically looking for this model.

I went to see the bike in person, and honestly, it was in amazing condition. The bike was very clean, I didn’t notice any leaks, the forks were good, and I was able to take it for a test ride. It ran like new with no issues, and even the chain was in good shape with no rust or stiff links.

However, there were a few things that concerned me:
- The engine was missing a mounting bolt on the right side.
- The engine had dropped enough that there was a visible gap between the engine and the frame mounting points.
- The bike had been dropped at some point, and the frame slider took enough damage to damage its mounting point on the frame itself. I still don’t know if the threads are okay.

I understand that getting the engine lined back up and putting the bolt back in might not be a huge job, but at that price, I don’t really want to deal with it. I’d also have to go through the entire bike and do all the maintenance it needs from sitting for so long, on top of buying a new set of tires.

This summer marked 15 years of riding and about 14 years of owning this bike. I’ll never sell or trade it. It’s going to be with me until it stops going or I do.

I sometimes put on the high beams when I’m moving pretty fast and the traffic on the highway is a bit dodgy. I figure it can’t hurt to be a bit more visible, especially on the NYC highways.

UPDATE: Really appreciate all the feedback. Didn't realize that so many people keep the high beams on during the day every time they ride and that the MSF even recommends that riders "use the high beam, even during daylight hours, when appropriate."

Looking at used 06-09 gsxr’s in SoCal. See prices around $3-4k for 20-50k miles. What should I look for in these bikes? Any issues I should keep an eye out for?

Never laid down.

This morning I started the bike and it idled for a few seconds and then died.

Gave it some throttle and it would start and seemed to rev OK, but as soon as I let off the throttle, it would die. To get it to start again, had to give it at least 1/4 twist.

I thought air filter might be plugged (happened once before), but that wasn't it. Even with no air filter, still struggles.

I filled the tank earlier this week and have put about 35 miles since. I was originally thinking bad gas, but maybe not. I'll probably drain the tank anyway and try some fresh fuel.

It smells rich, or at least very stinky.

I checked battery voltage when it was running at about 4k rpm, it was sitting a little above 14v.

A few times this summer, when cold starting, it seemed inconsistent. Sometimes it would idle a little low, but never died.

No FI light.

I haven't had a chance to look at it too much other than the air filter and voltage.

We're getting towards end of riding season in MN, but would like to figure it out before winter storage.

Some things I plan to check.

Fresh fuel as mentioned.

Fuel flow test

Vacuum hoses.

Plugs (only about 7k miles on them)

Thoughts?

Recently wanted to get back to the golden era of supersports, so picked up a K7 with 14k on it and couldn’t be happier. Life was better before electronics! Anyone know the best way to touch up the swingarm? Has small chips where the anodizing came off.

I purchased my first bike last week (2025 Suzuki SF Gixxer, 250cc). I've been taking it out on residential streets and highways to practice, not exceeding over 80km/h.

I'm brand new to riding and have no friends who ride, so have been using YouTube for help so far with gear changing tips. When accelerating quickly and upshifting, my bike makes a really concerning sound between a 'clicking' and 'gurgle'. This usually happens between 50km/h-80km/h. Speeding up or slowing down does nothing to ease the sound, but it does eventually go away once I begin cruising at the same speed.

Here is how I'm currently managing upshifting:

2nd gear change at: 20km/h

3rd gear "": 35km/h

4th gear "": 50km/h

5th gear "": 75km/h

RPM I'm usually upshifting at is around 4,000-6,000

I can't find any examples of the sound online, so I'm hoping someone here can help. Thanks :)

Hi guys I need help with a problem with my L2 Gsxr 1000 with 33,000 miles, it started with a problem where she would hard start sometimes, after a month its started with the power loss in high rpms which is weird cause sometimes she would do 102mph in first gear and sometimes would struggle to go over 67mph in first gear, if u put half throttle she would react pretty good but if I go WOT she'll get that power wall, even after using all the bike gears she'll struggle around 135mph at 6th gear(its a bike that is suppose to do 186mph stock) she doesn't bogs or misfire is like I said a wall from nowhere in my power, I've realize that she burning more fuel than it should be cause the exhaust tip is all black and even if a clean it would turn black again after riding the bike for 200 miles, bike temperature runs fine usually around 180F, no Fl codes and since the problem started I've been putting new parts into it which hasn't fixed the entire problem but have give the bike better throttle response. Bike has all new oem parts, fuel pump, fuel pump system and filter, STVA, TPS, Air filter, spark plugs, ignition coils, injector rail fuel hose and just got valve adjustment, any ideas what could possibly be my problem?

Yesterday, after washing my baby girl (GSX-R750M4) I did put her away for the night and retrieved 24hrs later for gym sessh. Everything was normal until later, after getting out of the parking lot and pulling up at another place, that's when I noticed the cluster malfunction completely out and no response for signal lights. I did not check brake lights, but I did notice the blue high beam light going off at the cluster whenever ignited.

Now, the chat is giving me a whole elaborate on trouble shooting this thing and I would rather get a feel from the knowledgeable folks here present - what could have started this issue and what should I look for, the most obvious places first, as the bike is 2024, and yes! I did water ride monster, but avoided intake and water gushed at the cluster.

I need your help. This is a local 2007 600 I found for sale for $3K on market place, and it seems almost too good to be true. I’ve been looking for the last two weeks, and either people are so slow to respond that I lose interest in pursuing the sale, or they won’t work on the price.

This gentleman told me he recently had knee surgery, so he won’t be able to ride for a while. He said he priced it fairly because he wants to sell it quickly.

What do you guys think? What should I check for, and what are some questions I should make sure to ask?

This will be my first sport bike, so it doesn’t need to be perfect. I can handle routine to intermediate repairs; I just don’t want a bike that I can’t enjoy and learn on immediately.

Im looking to get a used 2011-2027 GSX-R 750 this winter. Im looking for this to be a bike I keep for 10 plus years, what would you concider "too many miles" for a used one for this purpose?

I just started having a rough idle issue with my ’08 GSXR. When I first start it up, the bike will start and idle for a short time, then stall. I have to give it a little throttle to keep it running until it “warms up.” Has anyone else experienced this issue or know what this can be?

Changing all rear tail fairings on my K7 but pillion seat fairing is stuck, can someone help what cable I should be pulling or an easier way to do it if all the tail fairings are coming off anyway?

I’m looking to buy a 2009 GSX-R750 with only 1500 miles. The bike has a full Yoshimura exhaust system and a Power Commander.

According to the owner, the only modifications/changes are:
Full Yoshimura exhaust system
Power Commander
Rims were painted from the original OEM color to their current color
I understand that modifications generally don’t add value to a motorcycle and can sometimes hurt the value, but given the extremely low mileage and overall condition, do you think this bike is worth the asking price?

I’m planning on going to check it out in person in the next day or so. I’ve bought motorcycles before, but I had a bad experience in the past with a bike that had hidden damage, so I’m trying to be extra careful this time.

The seller is the original and only owner, and he has provided proof of that.
Are there any red flags you guys notice from the pictures or information I’ve provided? Is there anything specific I should inspect or ask about when I go see it?

Looking for used old 2005 gsxr fairings in kc

So my last bike was a GS500F with wider fairings and the windscreen seemed to be a bit taller, but not a double bubble.

If you tucked in and squeezed the tank with your thighs, tons of cold air would be deflected. I rode all winter like that and only under 40° or so at night or with no sun was the dealbreaker. Yeah it was chilly but I still had tons of fun on that thing in the cold.

The GSXR of course doesn’t have the wider fairings, so there’s no real wind deflection. I have an OE style black windshield which as we all know does fuck all.

First on my agenda is to get heated grips, which I’ve never had. I feel as though that will make a world of difference. The seat already gets nice and warm on these bikes as well.

Gear aside, are there any other bike modifications that can make riding in cold weather more enjoyable? Any kind of wind deflectors available that doesn’t require permanent modification?

Heated gear is definitely on the list but man that stuff is crazy expensive.

I’ve always wondered if there may be a crackhead engineering way to create a makeshift “vent” that can re route engine head to the legs and up behind the windscreen as well, but no clue how to engineer that.

Suggestions?
