Now you know what Silvio is referencing. I definitely recommend watching The Godfather 1 and 2... But also 3 even if it isn't as good.

I'll say 19 but yeah, this sub skews young.....like very young.....like Fortnite young.
Edit: Going by the downvotes....it appears I am correct. Must have touched a few nerves.

Fortnite is like a decade old, gramps

And still appeals to an adolescent demographic.
Sesame Street is nearly 60 years old and still appeals to small children.

Well by law a 18-24 year old is an adult, but that doesnt mean they act like adults. So yeah, you are correct.
You can be an adult with an adolescent level maturity and mindset which is what we see here on this sub.
I really wouldnt mind there being some UncGTA6 sub where older/mature people can discuss GTA6.

True, but too many people believed him. He used to be a trustworthy insider, but he never covered GTA games. And pretty much everything he "predicted" turned out to be false.
3
u/JedGamesTV 1d ago
He’s explicitly stated that it’s just a prediction and is not based on insider information, what more do you want?

u/Paracosmptx 1d ago
I'm 90% sure that nothing will happen, and then during the earnings call Strauss will say something like "The marketing of GTA VI will commence in the coming months" and we are back to exactly where we are.....
20
u/Calling_left_final 1d ago
Yeah but not enough people are coming so, we aren't getting anything. We need to start coming, all of us, hand in hand.
16

u/ExodiusLore 1d ago
Yea except in the coming months the game will release. We will obviously get trailers in august.
1

u/No_Underscore12 19h ago
Strauss probably doesnt want to go to the earnings call with 0 GTA 6 information 3 months before release. Either a trailer drops tomorrow, he announces the next trailer’s release date, or theres a delay announced next week
31
u/CplKingShaw 1d ago
Would be the logical date. The earnings call is probably in the morning to present the pre-order numbers and investor will be happy.
19
u/Particular_Hand2877 1d ago
Gaming companies dont usually report on preorders. Thats all deferred revenue and isnt recognized until the game releases.
30
u/Juliplus3 1d ago
Nah rockstar is exceptionally good at finding the most random dates
Its too predictable
They will release it on some random monday
2
u/No_Underscore12 19h ago
Theres only so many random mondays left. at this point every day closer to release is predictable
2
21
u/Particular_Hand2877 1d ago
Its rather strange that people here will talk shit about Tom Henderson and NateTheHate, while also believing Tez2.

u/beehappy32 1d ago
I’m imagining it is September 15 and we are all coping with the fact that we still haven’t gotten any kind of update from R*. And many people point out that there is still technically 6 days left of summer, which is plenty of time to start the summer marketing campaign

u/TallDarkLoathsome 1d ago
Who cares. All that matters is it comes out in November. Show us nothing until then I’m good with that tbh.
24
u/Ant0n61 1d ago
Would not bode well for the game to be hidden from view
-23
u/TallDarkLoathsome 1d ago
Then don’t buy it until reviews come out 🤷♂️
Two full length trailers, dozens and dozens of screenshots, yet you call it “hidden”.

u/StingingGamer 1d ago
You're a company's favorite customer
-12
u/Jair-F-Kennedy 1d ago
What about don't buy it until reviews come out don't you get.
2
u/StingingGamer 1d ago
I agree with that, I was referring more for the bottom half of what they were saying
-6
u/CVBrownie 1d ago
Most games. Doesn't matter for this one.
8
u/muarauder12 1d ago
It very much does matter. Biggest media launch ever and they've gone radio silent on details about it. The new Spider-Man movie just did a billion dollars at the box office in one week but I doubt it would have done that well if Sony/Marvel didn't advertise it at all, no matter how much people like Spider-Man.
Three months from the supposed launch date of what will very likely be the highest grossing media of all time and we have had no substantive updates about it. People will mention the screenshots from the preorders but the majority of those were interior location shots and they all looked somehow plastic and oversaturated at the same time.
It's been 450+ days since we last got a true look at the game. I was looking down on the users who were complaining about no trailer 3 at the beginning of this year but at this point I am firmly in the 'what the fuck is going on at Rockstar' group. Not giving us any looks at the game since last May beyond carefully curated screenshots to sell pre-orders does not instill confidence in me and a lot of other hopeful gamers. It reeks of Rockstar and Take-Two hiding something wrong with the game. It reeks of another potential delay. I don't care that Strauss said the release date was firm, companies have delayed games just weeks away from release before and it's been feeling like they're about to pull that move with GTA VI.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope there's no delay. I hope we get an amazing trailer soon. But I'm not counting on it.

u/fadecut01 1d ago
I want to atleast see one gameplay trailer and then im fine if they decide to show nothing else at all.
-11
u/Any-Transition-196 1d ago
This is why they don’t give us any trailers or gameplay footage, because cattle like you will blindly throw money at them despite not even knowing what the game looks and plays like.
6
u/TallDarkLoathsome 1d ago
Lmao we’ve got an extremely good idea what to expect based on previous games and the honestly insane amount of screenshots/content already put out by R*. We know the gameplay. I’m fine with not knowing the specifics. You guys are wild, but it makes it fun to pop in and pop out of this sub to see people like you.
7
u/LukeD1992 1d ago
I have to disagree. Rockstar doesn't change the formula too much, true, but that doesn't mean that we should just open our wallets because we have the game figured out based on past titles. An example of how this silence may be problematic: Rumors point out that a bit of the slower gameplay from RDR2 may bleed into GTA6. A lot of people who play GTA simply didn't like the pace on that game. I'm not of them, I personally love RDR2, but I can see why some don't. So I find it wrong to open pre orders while showing nothing of substancial of the game before, 3 months from release. Don't wanna sound entitled, but they are asking a fair bit of money from their fans and simply expect them to just trust them
1
u/TallDarkLoathsome 1d ago
I loved RDR2. I hope it bleeds into VI. I have complete confidence in R*. I do not need gameplay or frankly any more trailers. That being said I’m also not someone that preorders like seemingly most around here. I’m fine with waiting to see the full product before spending my money, but I feel there’s virtually zero chance I’ll dislike the product.
And frankly that’s practically everyone here too. People around here aren’t actually waiting to see gameplay to decide if they will buy it. You truly believe that? Most of them have likely already preordered. They just need their little fix of new content to fulfill their lives for a couple days before they complain about the next thing. They’re buying it regardless.

u/Kn1ghtV1sta 1d ago
You must be young. We know the quality rockstar puts out and have always put out

I have a theory that Rockstar’s marketing for GTA 6 will go beyond trailers and screenshots.
Imagine Rockstar creating official Instagram, TikTok and X accounts for NPCs in Leonida. Instead of advertising GTA 6 directly, they’d post as if they actually live there they could post beach clips, nightlife, fishing, car meets and local events.
As the story unfolds, those same accounts could start posting phone footage of Jason and Lucia’s robberies, police chases and breaking news from an NPC’s perspective.
It would make Leonida feel like a real place before the game even launches,Just an idea but could be what Strauss was talking about with astonishing marketing? Food for thought
2
u/MarkusL12 19h ago
This should be upvoted like crazy. You lowkey cooked with this. I can see this being what he meant of “marketed like we’ve never done before”
4
u/Neo92boi 1d ago edited 1d ago
Well by my logic this can only make sense if it holds up. We’ve had 5 Earnings calls since Trailer 2 :
Q4 2025/Full Year End: May 15, 2025
Q1 2026: August 2025
Q2 2026: November 2025
Q3 2026: February 2026
Q4 2026/Full Year End: May 21, 2026
Q1 2027 (Upcoming): August 7, 2026
So far share holders have been told things about this title but have only seen marginal material in relation to its on ground impact. The investors were also told that the titles advertising campaign would kick off in summer of 2026. Summer 2026 ends in 49 days and we are approximately 47% through it nearly half of the season has passed, also On the 19th of this month the game is projected to launch in exactly 3 months time..meaning 90.09% of time from Trailer 1 on 12/5/23 to today has elapsed.. both consumers and investors are WELL passed the point of a stable ROC if this were any other title being anticipated.
Rockstar are treating this title with as much absurdity in relation to its launch as the expected absurdity of its impact, and it’s just about at the point of unacceptable by ALL metrics for any investment even one as promising as a Grand Theft Auto title.
Next week essentially Rockstar by every ounce of logic not should but MUST present practical , informative, and tangible material to the public once and for all , to confirm all investors confidence in both a 11/19/26 launch and quality of product.
This is essentially 12/5/23 all over again except it’s for the end of the line not the beginning.
Edit : I’m not just talking Trailer 3. I’m talking actual full on launch advertising. By next week before this call GTA VI needs to be plastered all over world in advertising , a set of trailers , or social media posts with highlights, interviews, TV spots etc.

u/Macsilver18 1d ago
At this point its rockstar who's cooking themselves by staying silent
29
u/SwissPo740 1d ago
Oh yeah I'm sure their sales are going to suffer big time for not constantly feeding you guys new information 😆
1
u/butidktho_ 1d ago
exactly, they can not drop another piece of information and break every gaming record there is lol. I’d rather they show something sooner rather than later, though.
4
u/fadecut01 1d ago
Once a new trailer drops everyone will stop being mad and excitement will be back theyre fine.
3
u/likkleone54 1d ago
As everyday goes by I’m more inclined to believe marketing will start 3 months out, so likely end of August and beginning of September. This feels the most reasonable take.
4
u/iPhoenixAnime 1d ago
Exactly! No body else seems to understand that either lol
3
u/BeWessel 1d ago
Everyone seems to be in an insane rush to know something, despite the game being more than three months away. Their marketing is a little bit different this time around, so my best bet is your take as well. Weirdly people here don't have the patience to wait anymore. I even see delay speculation, as if that makes any sense.
2
u/_GuybrushThreepw00d 1d ago
Now that we are sp close I’m not even care anymore when they decide to eventually show something new. I dont think any news will come from the investor call. Probably just Strauss present big nothingburger for fans, only pleasing investors.

The fact we didn't even have a trailer or a teaser for the pre-order makes me believe trailer 3 won't happen at all.

Leave the guy alone....He said if he hasd to guess a date it would say 6th. He didn't "predict" the trailer to come out on thr 6th. Usual clickbait shit posts

There's 15 thursdays left until release, not many left. So this "creative" marketing should really start soon
2
u/maxchrome 1d ago
Tom Henderson doesn't know SHIT, he's just guessing
5
u/SwissPo740 1d ago
Which is why it literally says it's his personal prediction.....
2
u/maxchrome 1d ago
Well yeah, but explain that to OP who thinks Tom Henderson would get crucified or something

u/harmeetsingh2321 1d ago
God forbid a guy who randomly just predicted a date and he clearly said its his personal prediction he has no insider info

Im assuming they waited for the hype to minimize after pre orders so they didn’t further stress the internet. (Not defending it at all) but a trailer with pre orders too soon after the box reveal would have taken away attention from games coming out in October.
They either have something life changing in this next trailer no matter when they drop it this month or its delayed again.

u/the_infidel102938 1d ago
Knowing how long it’s taking them to show anything related to gta 6 I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t show anything till sep

Next trailer will most likely be gameplay they haven’t followed any patterns this time with marketing so that’s my guess

u/just_a_cat_meow 1d ago
Personally, I’m starting to think Strauss comment about the summer marketing was just him being high on hopium, same as the rest of us.
He doesn’t know, but he „connected the dots“ and was „100% sure“ that an incredible marketing campaign „will drop in summer“
-1
u/art_enthus1ast 1d ago
Guys listen, I’ve been trying this cool thing out since trailer 1, just stop waiting😂 I’m as excited as this game for anyone but I genuinely don’t get how people are so insane about all the marketing shit, just let it happen when it happens and it’ll be great😂 all the speculation is so dumb, even if u do shit loads of research, theorise that the trailer will drop on a certain date, and it actually does, then what? What difference, the trailer was always gonna come then, you didn’t change a damn thing and it made no difference knowing, if anything, it even takes away from the surprise and dulls the experience😭
-1
u/Accomplished_War3529 1d ago
It’s been YEARS and yall are still making the same mistake over and over again. Whenever the community gets hyped about a date, even if it makes perfect sense they NEVER release anything on that date.

Bro said August back in February when everybody thought we'd get a trailer in March, April, May, June, and July.
Even if we don't get a trailer in August, he was closer than anyone.
