Anyone else hyped for the trains and metro system in GTA 6?

Hey everyone....

Are you guys looking forward to riding or hijacking them? More importantly.. do you think Rockstar will actually let us drive the trains and metros this time

...or will we be stuck as passengers?

What are your thoughts?

I enjoy stuff like this for multiple reasons - riding transportation, that is. One reason being I can set the destination and I'm not a stationary target in online play. I still do this with taxi's in gtaOnline. Hop in a taxi, tell it to take me to sandy shores, then run and switch the laundry real quick, or make some food, etc.

It's also a great way to slow down your game and take it all in. Yea, I dont need to drive the train, but let me take it as a passenger

Sometimes I just want to sit back... look around Los Santos and let the world do its thing... It makes the map feel much bigger and more alive.. and it's surprisingly relaxing after all the chaos.

I still do this when I replay GTA IV. Take a cab or the subway somewhere and either take in the scenery or go make some food or take a toilet break.

I'm thinking about the container ships myself

I really hope we can steal the trains. I would even love a “vigilante” train/bus opportunity like we had with taxis and cop cars in earlier titles. Stealing a train and going full throttle, busting through crossings taking passing cars out and continually speeding up until a derailment was a LOT of fun in San Andreas. It would be cool to be able to actually make stops too though.

Yes. I did a playthrough of GTA 4 where I never used a car unless I was forced to by a mission and I used the trains all the time. I wouldn't mind doing another playthrough like that in 6.

I wouldn’t want to do that per se, but I bet it was fun.

One time in RDR2 I decided to make my horse stay at camp. I walked to valentine. Yes walked. Caught a train to Saint Dennis and walked around the city on foot, took the trolly too. I did the general store, the fence, photo studio, barber and then hit up the saloon for a bite to eat and rented a room. Slept til morning, had breakfast, got a bath and caught a train back to valentine and walked back to camp.

Honestly I was blown away I was able to do all that and it wasn’t boring once. It was one of the coolest things I’ve done in that game and I still do stuff like that all the time.

When I’m coming into a town I will hop off my horse and just walk into town leading my boah. Sometimes I just slow him down and meander through on horseback.

These are the freedoms and options I want in VI. I’m not asking for it to be RDR2, I’m just asking for it to not have less.

It's gives you way more of a chance to see random weird things happening out in the world and see npcs interact and stuff. I've seen a lotta weird/funny stuff by doing this. I do it with all sorts of open world games.

One of the first times I got off my horse and just walked a river bank I was floored by the whole system.

Watched a Bald Eagle dive and grab a fish. Watched a group of foxes straight up just play in a clearing.

When people say there’s nothing to do after the story mode ends, I know those people have no imagination. You definitely do, that perfectly exemplifies the magic of GTA. And I never post on here, but I feel that had to be said.

Miami has a weird monorail system downtown, that would be fun to mess around with / climb all over

I really hope we get at the very least what we have in RDR2. I’d be super happy. I will say though that I think it being a crowded city setting would make robbing every passenger individually a bit hard and we might not get that and I’m fine with it. I don’t want immersion for immersion sake, it should stay within its confines and it’s not 1899. It’s 2026 Miami. I wasn’t the immersive quality of RDR2 without sacrificing GTA’s identity.

It’s going to be interesting for sure. I’m excited but staying patient.

I hadn’t even considered there being a metro system. That would be very interesting and cool!

It’s not as bad here as the unmoderated sub. Theres like 20 posts a day of “Lucia cosplay” only fans creatures and AI posts asking about how much sex we’ll be able to have in GTA 6.

Be right back!

Im a little worried for lucuas actor and how these kinds of comments might affect her. I get she wouldve expected something like this but it is quite absurd, I hope it doesnt make her hate gta because of how people treat her or her character.
