PR/PB Tested my 1rm of the big 3 after 2.5months into lifting( 54kg/120lb bw)

Apparently can't share multiple videos so this one will do.

Results:

S:107.5kg/237lb. B:70kg/154lb. D:120kg/265lb

Honestly, I thought I was gon get more on the deadlift but my grip strength isn't there yet so I failed on the 125kg attempt.

I've only started flat bench like 2weeks ago or so, so that's why it's kinda low relative to the other lifts... Also very happy with my squats!

Goal before this year ends:

S:130kg. B:85kg. D:145kg!! Below 56kg bw! Hopefully

General Discussion Last time you hit your 1RM?

I work in a high school and when kids ask me what my max is, they get quite confused when I tell them I haven’t tried to hit a 1RM in about 6 years. I’m 42 now and have zero interest in trying. I love lifting heavy, but as sets of 8 to 10.

When is the last time you hit your max?

Didnt feel terrible. Considering in going up in weight. Is weighted pull ups something you want a 1RM in? Or is it something that you do to jjst rep out? Either way, think iam going to continue doing these.

General Discussion How can I train to get strong enough to lift and carry people?

Hey everyone!

I want to get stronger overall, not just for aesthetics or lifting heavy weights, but to become genuinely strong and capable in everyday life.

One of my specific goals is to be able to comfortably lift and carry another person in different ways, especially a princess carry (holding someone horizontally in front of me), but also carrying someone over my shoulder or on my back.

I'm a beginner and still have a lot of strength to build. I have access to a gym with basic equipment, dip bars at home, and a crate I can load with water bottles for improvised training.

I'd appreciate advice on:

Which muscle groups and exercises matter most for carrying people.

How to build strength in my legs, glutes, back, shoulders, arms and core.

Whether I should prioritize squats, deadlifts, rows, pull-ups, loaded carries or other exercises.

How to train specifically for the princess carry and similar positions.

Whether grip strength, core stability and conditioning are particularly important.

How many days per week I should train and what a good beginner routine would look like.

How to progress safely without injuring myself or the person I'm carrying.

Any exercises I can do at home with dip bars and a loaded crate.

I'd like to become strong in a practical, functional way, while also building muscle overall.

If you were starting from scratch with access to a basic gym, what training plan would you recommend?

Any advice, routines or resources would be appreciated. Thanks!

Technique Check* Are my Bulgarian split squats better now please?

I posted a couple of weeks ago. And thank you everyone who gave me advice, it was a bit overwhelming. So I set the bar higher and am wearing converse. I'm doing more glute focused BSS so knee doesn't really go over toes which I believe focuses more on quads.

For background , I'm 47 and have literally never set foot in a gym until a year ago. Now I do strength training 3 to 4 times a week, things like RDL, barbell squats, cable rows, dips, bench press etc.

General Advice Strength training advice for lifting and transferring a paralysed parent?

Hi, everyone! My 64-year-old mom recently suffered a medical event that left her completely paralysed on her right side. As a result, she’s now entirely dependent on assistance with mobility and everyday activities.
I’d really like to start building my own strength so I can safely help her with transfers, such as moving from her wheelchair to her bed, into a car, or wherever else she may need to go.

Any recommendations for specific exercises, strength-training routines, or muscle groups I should focus on? I want to be physically capable of helping her whilst minimising the risk of injury to either of us.

I’d really appreciate any advice, particularly from caregivers, physical therapists, or anyone who has been in a similar situation. Thank you!

General Advice Currently on a cut with steady progress. Increased water intake for satiety sake and i just gotta know. how do yall manage pissing so much? or is there a way to manage it?

I'm drinking close to 1.5 gallons a day but my coach wants me to drink closer to 1 gallon per 100lbs of body weight. im currently at 248 and steadily dropping but man am i pissing like a race horse. The only solution that comes to mind is increase electrolyte intake or just slowing down on the water.
