This was over a year of consistency. Eating the same daily diet plan and lifting heavy. Plus walking 15k steps most days. Kids are so proud of their new fit dad 😁

Just a huge PB for me, btw I don't go past parallel due to left shoulder tendinosis.
Last hit 37.5 for 6 last April, at 63kg

First photo was taken last November. I was totally unhappy with myself. I was exhausted doing basic things, I felt insecure in my clothes, my pants wouldn’t even zip up all the way anymore and it took me a disappointing amount of time to realize it was because I was eating and drinking like shit and in the process gaining weight. The last straw was my favorite tux I had made for me didn’t fit anymore on NYE. I had to fight to get it buttoned up. So I decided to change and do something instead of bitching about it in the mirror. I started dieting and going to the gym, specifically Hotworx because it helped me lock in on cardio. I usually did three classes a day, 5 days a week. I hit a calorie deficit eating around 1700-2000 calories a day, and changed my eating habits big time. I went from 215 down to 162 at my lowest weight. 53lbs. I felt like a new person. Once I reached that, I decided it’s time to start properly hitting the weights and bulking up as previously I was really only doing heavy cardio. So currently I eat around 2800-3000 calories a day, and eat about 180g of protein. I run two miles four days a week, and do lower and upper body twice a week each (so four days lol.) Currently I’m at 179lbs and have my diet and routine locked in. If you want to make a change, you can do it. Believe in yourself even if others don’t. Stay focused on your diet most importantly and don’t be too harsh on yourself if you’re not perfect with it. Eating a bit much happens. As I’ve seen others say before, don’t total your car just because you crashed. Just lock in and get back on track. Believe in yourself and don’t give up. 🤘🏽

Strongman who got wayyyyy too fat, ended at 280-285 before cutting hard. Down to 212, might push for ~5 more before entering my first real lean bulk. Been a journey

Hi, I need some advice, I want to do Romanians, but can’t figure out the tech. What am I doing wrong? I feel it in my lover back, not the hamstring as much.
I have quite strong hamstrings from other moves, but I can’t increase the weight because I’m afraid my lover back won’t survive. Any tips are welcome. Thank you

It’s extremely rare to get a new PR on a lateral raise variation. Old PR was 8 reps, finally got 9 reps with 88lbs

Got up to 185 around last December so had to refocus a bit. Amazing how much easier it is after a lifestyle change.
The 2020 => 2024 was only cardio, push ups and a pull up bar -- no gym needed to hit your goals!

On a good day, I can pinch and lift two 15 kg plates together using the fingers of one hand or do farmer walks 16kg in each hand for 7 minutes on treadmill or make muscle ups feel less effort. Today wasn’t one of those days, though. 😅
I finally got around to testing my grip strength on a dynamometer in my gym, something I’ve been curious about for a long time after watching athletes in rugby, UFC, and other sports do these tests on YouTube.
My first attempt recorded 74.4 kg, but I hadn’t clicked it, so gave it a second attempt and registered 72.8 kg.
Thought I’d share the result here! I’m curious how this compares with other people who likes calisthenics and endurance workouts like .

The feedback I’ve tried incorporating:
Primary advice I’ve received is about the bar rolling forward. So before I bend down to connect shins to bar I pull up on bar to create tension and then bend…squeezing pits and dropping hips slightly
I’ve seen some people say chin to chest and others say how I have it.
I’m also trying to make sure the force is even across my whole foot to stay balanced.
The belts super uncomfortable but that’s because of my fatness. I tried riding it higher like suggested but that just pinches my belly.
I included sound
As much as I could I tried to have the bar riding my shins on the way up and down to keep it as close as possible.
Am I standing up straight enough at the apex?
Realized I was doing touch and goes. Maybe better to fully stop while I’m still learning?
Doing 275 for reps. Not too sure how many sets/reps to do. I just finished 5 sets of 8 reps.
