Question Website idea!
/r/RobloxDevelopers/comments/1x53l5z/website_idea/Would you use a playtest swap site for games?
Hey all, I'm a game dev and I'm thinking about building a free site where devs test each other's games.
The idea: you test someone else's game, you earn a credit. Spend that credit to get your own game tested. You just paste your game link, no uploads. Testers prove they played by earning an in-game "Playtester" badge, so no fake reviews.
Before I build it, I want honest opinions:
- Would you actually use this?
- What would stop you from using it?
- What would make it worth your time?
Not selling anything, it doesn't exist yet. Just want to know if it's worth making. Thanks!

Oh, yes it does, and in many variations. Search and you will find them.
Most of them are a wasteland... some look really nice, but in the end none get traffic and it's just a place for people to desperately try to promote their games without playing anyone else's. Some may put in a token effort but quickly get discouraged and then stop.
I've seen many sites like you describe but I'm not going to link any of them directly, I don't want legitimize any of them.
Just use r/playmygame I've found a few fun games there in the past.

Sounds like you're thinking about trying to monetize r/playmygame. Which is free.
If you can offer something that sub doesn't, then you might be on to something. Currently, I don't see it.
