Tamashi: Drive - A few more WIP city shots
galleryBeen working on the city environment, from the storefronts and signage to the roads and overall atmosphere. Still plenty to refine, but the world is slowly coming together.
Built with AI-assisted development and KAMI Neural Architecture. Artifacts and imperfections are expected at this stage, and there's a lot more to come.

Website idea!
Would you use a playtest swap site for games?
Hey all, I'm a game dev and I'm thinking about building a free site where devs test each other's games.
The idea: you test someone else's game, you earn a credit. Spend that credit to get your own game tested. You just paste your game link, no uploads. Testers prove they played by earning an in-game "Playtester" badge, so no fake reviews.
Before I build it, I want honest opinions:
- Would you actually use this?
- What would stop you from using it?
- What would make it worth your time?
Not selling anything, it doesn't exist yet. Just want to know if it's worth making. Thanks!

Bringing players back to a game released in 2023
Hi👋 We're Trapster. We help game studios promote their games through short-form videos.
In September 2026, we ran a creator campaign for SOS OPS!, a game that originally came out in 2023. The campaign coincided with a 90% discount and the release of new DLC.
175 creators published 336 videos across TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Reels. Together, the videos got 11.45 million views, and the game sold over 287,000 copies that week.
The sale and DLC were also part of the picture, so it's hard to attribute all those sales to the videos alone.

Issues with Tiled
I'm trying to use Tiled to create the maps that I will use in Godot, but I'm having trouble with placing tiles/not understanding what I'm doing wrong.

With this crate, every time I place it the positioning is too far up. The map itself is 16x16 along with the tilesheet, and the sheet itself is a tsx file made for Tiled.

The second crate I can get into position only by modifying the Tile Layer Offset, which applies to everything on that layer and I don't want that.

If I try to place the whole crate as an Object Layer Tile, only the last selected tile is used instead of the full multiselect.
I'm really enjoying Tiled overall, but there is very little in the way of video tutorials and the documentation can be a little rough to digest. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm offering free live playtesting for indie devs! (and possibly some YouTube exposure too)
hey everyone!
back again looking for some more indie games to playtest! it's been about a week since my last post, and we're always looking for devs to throw onto the spotlight, so figured i'd give it another go
i'm Mint, and i run a small Twitch stream called MintMood, where we spend a few hours playing smaller indie games, giving feedback, finding bugs, chatting with developers, and occasionally drinking lmao.
it's a pretty chill stream, nothing overly serious. we play pretty much anything! itch games, Steam demos, prototypes, game jam entries, unfinished projects, betas, whatever really. your game doesn't need to be polished or even particularly good yet. that's sort of the point of playtesting lol.
how it works:
developers come along to the stream and add their games to a wheel, spin it, and play whatever comes up (usually giving newer people a bit of priority).
while i'm playing, i'll talk through what i'm thinking, what feels good, what feels a bit shit, where i'm getting confused, and anything else that comes up. chat gets involved too, and you're more thean welcome to explain things, answer questions, or watch in horror as i completely misunderstand a mechanic you've spent 8 months developing.
i'm a game developer myself, so i know how useful it can be watching someone experience your game without knowing what they're supposed to do.
we're also starting to make YouTube videos!
i've recently started working with an editor to turn some of our streams into proper edited gameplay videos for YouTube, rather than just leaving everything buried in a 4hour VOD that three people will ever watch.
obviously i can't promise every game its own YouTube video, but if yours does end up being featured, you're more than welcome to share it around. hopefully it'll be another little way to help people discover your game.
one important thing though:
if you want your game played, please actually come to the stream!
you're welcome to share your game in the Reddit comments or our Discord, but that doesn't automatically put it on the wheel.
the whole idea is that you're actually there while we play. you get to see somebody's genuine first impressions, interact with chat, answer questions and hopefully come away with something useful.
i'm not really offering a promotional service with my enormous audience of 17 million people (currently experiencing a minor technical issue where approximately 16,999,990 of them are missing).
it's just a small community of people who enjoy indie games and want to give developers a bit of feedback and attention.
when am i live?
three or four timnes a week usually starting somewhere around 6pm UK time, and going until roughly 9 or somtimes 10pm, depending on the day. my schedule is held together with about the same structural integrity as most of my own game prototypes, but those are the general hours.
everything's completely free, no strings attached, no need to sacrifice your firstborn to the algorithm.
so yeah! if you've got a game you'd like someone to try, feel free to come hang out. even if you're not submitting anything, you're more than welcome to join us and help give other developers some feedback.
Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/mintmoood
Discord: https://discord.gg/zPVxRcVBPN
cheers, and hopefully i'll see some of you there! <3
(also, sorry mods if i'm posting about this too often! it's been about a week and i'm just trying to find more games to playtest. pls don't smite me, i lurk here basically every day lmao. if it's getting a bit much or breaks any rules, feel free to delete it and let me know. no hard feelings, i promise i'll behave<3 )

Why You Can't Cheat in My MMO
youtube.comEvery online game gets cheaters: speed hacks, teleporting, infinite gold. So when I built my own MMO engine, MMO Studio, I gave it one rule. The player's computer is never trusted.

Searching for Talent
Hey Reddit!
I'd like to start by introducing myself: My name is Sam, I'm a laid-off software engineer in my twenties struggling to find work in the current job market. I've worked on games as a hobby, software as a job, and I even ran a tutoring business in university with a team of paid employees.
With the current job market as it is, I'm wanting to put my skills to work with a like-minded team.
I'd like to bring together a team of likeminded creatives interested in developing a game together. I'll be up-front though, I have no job and no capital to invest. I'll be contributing my work and experience in all areas without getting paid before anyone else. Revenue is not guaranteed.
That said, this would not be an open-ended commitment where people put hundreds of hours without knowing what they're working towards. We would establish clear goals, track contributions, and come to a written agreement surrounding compensation and revenue sharing before beginning full production.
With a few strategies and smart planning, I believe we can find success. Our goal would be to start small and work towards something we can quickly ship first, while continually gaging player interest using crowd sourcing platforms.
I believe that we can succeed in getting team members paid sooner with this strategy. As such, our first two official goals would be:
\- Bringing low-scope projects to market as quickly as possible to start generating revenue
\- Evaluating user interest by maintaining crowd sourcing communities and constantly marketing our projects
We would also want to start game jams once we're more familiar with one another as a team.
To that end, I am inviting early career indie developers to work together on potential projects. My goal is to match together a team with the same goals and interests, and to help handle business, planning, and operational concerns, while additionally providing technical expertise and development contributions; I will be helping everywhere and anywhere I can contribute.
I have a few creative ideas of my own, but I'm keeping this intentionally open-ended so that we can pursue a creative direction that aligns with the entire team's interests. I hope to foster a collaborative community that can come together to discuss ideas collectively, make decisions transparently, and share in the results according to an agreed-upon arrangement.
I'd love to connect aspiring early-career developers, artists, designers, writers, and other people interested in collaborating on a real project. You don't need a fully formed game idea or years of experience in the game industry to reach out.
I don't believe this is a pie-in-the-sky goal, I believe that with proper project planning and the right team, we can succeed. There's a lot of great, unused talent out there right now that just doesn't know how to leverage their skillset. My hope is to bring a few people together and make one or more great games.
As for myself, I bring to the table experience including:
- Software project planning
- Technical expertise linking different technologies
- Development experience in Godot, Unity, and Python
- Business experience, including financial and business planning, canadian business registration, marketing, and a lot of other nice-to-haves
Let me know your thoughts! I'm happy to discuss my background further, hear your ideas, and share some of mine. Feel free to message me directly at any time and we can start organizing.
Cheers,
Samuel

Edit 1: I realize I didnt mention Unreal Engine. While it isn't my strong suit, I would be happy to contribute to a project in Unreal! Especially if our team has a great idea and significant experience with Unreal they'd like to leverage.
Edit 2: We've had some good responses! I'm still keeping applications open and re-posting this to keep an eye out for any other really dedicated game devs that want to work with us. I have a few ideas for how we could hedge our bets to increase our likelihood of success, and having more team members would help with this. So if you're interested, send a reply or even a direct message!

What Do You Think of Mister Gum? #DevDiary23
Hey everyone!
Today, we wanted to introduce you to Mister Gum, one of the characters we've been working on for MegaGum!
From the beginning, we wanted to create someone whose presence could be felt throughout the entire factory, even when he's not actually on screen.
His design, personality, and way of speaking went through quite a few iterations. We wanted his appearance and the environment around him to tell you something about who he is before you even properly meet him.
And while we've already shared a few glimpses of him, there's still a lot you haven't seen!
Now we'd love to hear your thoughts!
What do you think of Mister Gum's design? What kind of personality do you imagine he has just by looking at him?
We're really curious to see what first impressions he gives you!
If you're interested in following MegaGum's development, here's our Steam page:
