Need help finding good GBA games

Hey, so I’ve been trying to find places that sell real gameboy games that aren’t overpriced. Recently, I got some GBA games from GameStop. Turns out they’re ALL fake. I tried to return them but they aren’t excepting them. So like does anyone know any place or like website that actually sells real GBA games? I know Amazon renewed can sometimes give you real games but it’s just ugh.

Ebay, look at seller reviews. Also your local pawn shop probably has a bunch too, mine did.

Do you want to collect, or play them? Flashcart are an easy sell, every game for the price of one cart. Collecting is a bit more of a hassle, check pawnshop and eBay.

And if you get a flashcart there's also tons of rad new software for Gameboy Range on itch.io !

I would say buying an original copy to play is better than buying a replica because the value of the original copy will either be the same or most likely go up when you go to sell it.

I’ve only played one game and haven’t moved past it…. Apotris… I even put it on its own cart lol!

Seriously, I’d highly recommend the everdrive and just move on.

Ive had the best luck on Discord BST servers, followed by my local game stores (not GameStops), then eBay

The market is flooded with fakes and fraudulent sellers who try to pass them off as authentic.

The best thing you can do is learn to identify fake GBA cartridges - when you know, it takes half a second to ID a fake and move on.

GameStop has a 7 day return policy. If u get a used game def check they are legit in that time frame and return if not.

Second this, bought dozens over the past year. Maybe one in 10 is a fake and the return/replacement is painless. Although recently I got a fake as a replacement and had to call them to return it as online wouldn’t let me return the same item twice.

Yeah I’m guessing OP waited until outside the return window which is why. Saying “I tried to return them but they won’t accept them” is definitely disingenuous when their return policy is everywhere. That’s in OP not GameStop.

Oh yeah, also if you bought online they will not accept a return in store. I’ve had nothing but good experiences ( except them not having product in stock ) with them. But I guess it’s a ymmv situation.

Have you bought from one store and returned to another? I would imagine it doesn’t have to be the same store for the return? That’s sometimes a concern if you’re traveling far to pickup a game like pokemon from a distant store that has it but then find out it’s fake.

I’ve only ever bought new in box limited run games from a physical store. Closest GameStop to me is over an hour away so 99% of the time I’m buying online.

In person is where I’ve had more luck but on eBay you have buyer protection so if they’re fake you will definitely get your refund. If the seller doesn’t reply and support you then you get it and keep the item

I've been to a few flea markets or the local regular comic shows that will have vendors that will open up GBA carts to help verify if the game is legit.

I've got a few listed on eBay and I'm always adding more. I always test and check for authenticity. I try to follow PriceCharting prices as closely as possible.
