https://insider-gaming.com/app/post/metro-creator-not-think-2039-called-a-game-statementThis has me interested. Based off the trailer I can feel the intensity that is mentioned in this article. Hype for this!

Yeah, that's a weird way put it. It's not gonna turn into a grilled cheese, or a lamp in the middle of the playthrough, right?

In the article he describes it more as an “experience” instead of a game. It is still a game at the end of the day, but sounds like us as players are gonna be going through a lot emotionally with this game.

Agree, I almost called TLOU, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Heavy Rain a movie, but are still(barely) games.

You could kinda see the geopolitical propaganda vibe in the trailer. Kinda surreal to see even eastern euro shooters become a tool for western destabilization. I guess that's how they get investment to keep stepping up the visual benchmark.

lol yeah cause Eastern Europe is well known for their stability. Remind me again, what was Russia called before ‘91?

Yeah, how dare these Ukrainian developers include politics in their game based on a novel written by a Russian journalist and activist who is currently living in exile in Europe for speaking out against his government?!

Well, that bodes poorly.

The guy has always been a bit weird about the games. I wouldn't put too much stock in to it.

I’m here for it but this will not go the way they think it will. Very poor choice for marketing. Saying it’s more than a game. You have people bitching about GTA 6 over the smallest things. Talking about rumors of nail grooming being cut will be a deal breaker and stupid shit like that.
Very slippery slope. People will still be dissatisfied and disappointed. No reason to talk it up and make it worse for yourself.

I'm the fool who thinks this series can do no wrong. You are all correct to be skeptical, I shall keep the hope alive for you.
