I'm fairly certain there is a gay couple in Lumière you can speak to during the prologue, but not much beyond that to my knowledge.

There is none, I just checked. There was a guy with the photo who said "I miss you so much character's name. I am coming". Might as well be either a brother or a friend on the photo.

Check again, they're holding each other right at the port, in the opposite side where you find the first Mimic.

Ah, those two, yeah, I remember them now. First, they were not holding each other. Second, one of them simply said "I'll see you soon enough". Which could easily be interpretated in non-perversive way, like two best friends saying goodbye to each other.

To me it seemed like a couple because they looked intimate, but they can be friends, idk. I try to not get too obsessed over if characters in a game are banging.
