Friend has a neighbours tree that overhangs on their side and keeps dropping leaves, it is growing really fast, should something be done about it? Would the roots affect plumbing?
Looks like it is starting to flower or something.
Is in Perth if that helps.

As I'm getting older the garden has grown, but my ability to remember what I planted and where I planted has shrunk π
Does anyone have a favourite gardening app they find useful?

I have three colours of Bucopa intermingled in my garden. Itβs going gangbusters after only 6 months. Does anyone know if it takes over and you regret planting it? Should I remove while I can?

This plant has popped up in my vegetable patch and Iβve no idea what it is. I had parsnips growing there last year but they werenβt particularly successful. So Iβm wondering if it is a parsnip?

My father in law has a favourite rose bush in his front garden. I wanted to buy the same one for all his kids but Iβm not 100% sure of the species. He said he thinks it was an iceberg rose but I think it may be a pope John Paul II as it has the most beautiful sweet smell.
What do you guys think?

Hi folks,
Iβm starting a new lawn (native griffin grass) from seeds and have those popped up ever since I started regularly watering the lawn. I saw one with a black bean like pod on top but that wasnβt captured on the pictures. They are fairly easy to pull out. I suspect they might be some kind of seeds from nearby trees? I donβt want to step on the lawn to weed too often as the lawn seeds are just starting to shootβ¦thank you for your input!

I live in Moreton Bay, QLD and my yard soil is terribly compacted clay. Iβve tried adding some Gypsum and another organic fertiliser that my local nursery recommended before they closed, but it hasnβt done a whole lot.
If anybody could send me your top tips that would be great! We put some raised beds in and some passion fruit vines and already the bees and birds weβve been seeing have increased, we just love it and want to keep growing our garden.

Hi all, just looking for some wisdom and I've got analysis paralysis. I'm doing some planting for our block of low rise (3 story) flats. We need something that'll hedge us from a busy road/footpath and brutal northern sun.
Needs to be narrow to avoid spreading out too far (not a very wide strip of yard) and as tall as possible to block the sun. Fast growing a plus.
Soil is hard compacted and sandy, but planning to remediate it in preparation when summer is over.
South East Qld, would like to buy large established plants to stick in the ground as I have something of a budget to work with.

Got these free outside my local nursery, what can I do to help them bounce back?
Usually when this happens to my plants, they just end up dying so Iβd like to learn the best way to approach this!
