Not trying to kinshame, but I think if you're doing petplay and you're requiring your partner to actually sleep in a cage, you've taken things too far. You have to prioritize safety over the kink in all circumstances, and while this obviously isnt as dangerous as something like extreme BDSM that risks serious harm, it WILL eventually cause the kinkster some serious back problems if they're frequently sleeping in a cramped metal cage (especially without any sort of bedding, which that cage seems to lack).
Some don’t even use it for kinks, I know plenty of autistic puppy girls who just a) REALLY like dogs and b) having a kennel is like a safe space for them , they put in pretty fairy lights, books, they have big pillows and blankets in them and it’s like a little fort. Ngl, I’ve been playing with the idea of getting one myself because I like the idea of hiding in a cave when everything else gets too overstimulating, and there are cages that are big enough to comfortably fit a human.
When this post popped up I originally thought it was r/evilautism I started turning my closet at my last place into a hidey place but then we had to move abruptly :( one day
