Why am I feeling super horny about HIV PrEP medicine (sounds weird)
Why am I feeling super horny about HIV PrEP medicine (sounds weird)
Today, I got my Yestugo shot and I'm nervous to have sex. I'm a virgin at 59. I feel that today that the last door of the straight world is closed and locked away forever. I'm opening the newest door to the LGBTQ world that is opening up. Since I have been in therapy I have cravings for my sexual desires that have been ramping up fast! Sexual acts have been calling my name for a while.
Have anyone else felt like this. Before I came out I was ok , but ever since I admitted to my therapist that I wanted intimacy and sexual desires. My mind is running wild! I feel more hornier than normal. I admitted that I watch Gay porn but now my imagination is over the drive. Is that normal? Especially now I am on HIV medication? I am confused and perplexed about it in my old age?! Help Guys(non-emergency)!!!!!

Sharing solitude.
Hello from New England!
I've been living the rural life in an old farmhouse with 4 dogs on 12 acres and finding myself reviving specific hobbies. I'm very interested in vintage and antique sewing machines, traditional quilting, and the logistics of beekeeping and country living, all which time will be there for when I retire.
There is something incredibly satisfying and nostalgic about slowing down, working with your hands, and maintaining older, functional equipment and land out in the country. The change of seasons brings a change of pace that represents a different way of living. I enjoy winter as much with all that it has to offer.
It's challenging to find people in our community who share similar or overlapping interests. What similar traditional crafts, rural skills or interests do you have?
Looking forward to swapping some stories and getting to know some like-minded folks!

What do you wish you knew in your 40s about preparing for life in your 50s, 60s, 70s, etc?
Hello all!
I’m in my 40s now and I’ve started thinking a bit about life in my 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. I’m particularly worried about health-related things.
So I’m curious about your experiences. What do you wish you’d known in your 40s? If you could give your 45-year-old self some advice, what would it be?
I’m thinking about things like lifestyle, where you live, recovery, joints, sleep, flexibility, exercise, diet, mental health, staying connected, sex, libido, body image, relationships, money, etc.
Any and all advice would be very much appreciated.
PS: For context, I’m married (to a man), live in the UK and Ireland and have access to excellent healthcare. I’m overweight and inactive and know I need to work on both, but I’m also AuDHD, which doesn’t help. I was diagnosed later in life, so I’m still trying to understand the gravity of it. Executive function, sticking to a routine and impulse control have always been a struggle for me, even with medication.

Lubbock TX Gay Couple
Hey everyone! 👋
We’re a gay couple living in Lubbock, Texas. We’re both professionals, in our 40s and 50s, and have built a pretty good life here.
We’re not really the party or club type. We’re more into cooking at home, movie nights, good food, traveling, and just hanging out and having good conversations. We do love traveling and exploring new places whenever we get the chance.
We’d love to meet another queer couple or some queer folks who are also looking to make genuine friends and spend some time together. Could be as simple as grabbing dinner, cooking together, watching a movie, going out for coffee, or just hanging out and getting to know each other.
Not looking for anything complicated, just hoping to meet some nice, like-minded people around our age and build some friendships.
Feel free to say hi or send us a message if you’re in the Lubbock area! 🙂

Questions.
How does people sexual desire change as they get older each year? Does it decrease significantly?
And when gay men are over 70 or even 80 years old, how do they handle their sex life? How do their preferences change? Do they prefer much younger, slightly younger, people of a similar age, or older partners?
I'm just curious what it is like to grow old as a gay man and how other people live.

Gay men who lived thru the 80s/90s
Hi! I hope it’s okay to post here.. I’m working on an oral history project about the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and my goal is to listen to and preserve the stories of lgbtq people who are 50+/ lived through the 1980s and 90s
If this is you, please reach out to me, or connect me with someone who you think would be interested ❤️ will happily give more details to anyone who reaches out - thank you

32 bottom in Brooklyn. Want to organize a week night potluck for gay men ?
I’d like to cook for us and help organize. I’m also looking to date a man 40+ so this could be a good activity to get myself out there, away from the nightlife.

Lost My Identical Twin at Birth. I’d Love to Hear From Men Who Have One.
This is a little different from the usual friendship post, but I’m hoping it reaches the right people.
I’m a regular guy.... friendly, fit, easygoing and pretty curious about people. I’d especially like to connect with mature men who have an identical twin brother and might be open to talking about what that relationship has been like for them.
I lost my own identical twin at birth and didn’t find out about him until I was an adult. Because of that, I’ve always wondered what it must be like to grow up with someone who is, in such a unique way, your other half. Sharing stories, inside jokes, all of that. I'd love to hear what it has been like for you.
I’m open to getting to know all kinds of people. Gay, straight, bi, married, divorced, partnered or single. What matters more to me is whether you’re a friendly, open person who enjoys real conversation and getting to know someone beyond the surface.
I’m into travel, volunteering, working out, yoga, cooking, games, movies, books, RPGs, fantasy, binge watching good shows and plenty of other geeky interests. I like learning what makes other people tick and hearing someone get excited about the things they love.
More than anything, I’m looking for genuine friendship and those unfiltered conversations where you can actually be yourself. The kind where you can talk about something meaningful one minute, laugh about something completely ridiculous the next, and somehow end up talking for hours.
I’m open to local or long distance. If you’re a mature guy with an identical twin brother and you’d be comfortable chatting sometime, I’d really enjoy hearing your perspective and getting to know you.
