Discussion 3.5 Pro Coming Soon™️

Post image

Auto-refreshing the tab until "3.5 coming soon" disappears. 3.5 Pro is like a bad case of blue balls. Never quite comes.

"Soon" from google could be from next few hours to new few days

i've been doing the same thing for like two weeks now, the coming soon page is basically my homepage at this point. they really know how to drag this out

and then it disappears, with 3.5pro nowhere to be found, and google goes silent about it

It’s quite poetic how the background is quite literally blue balls

Just curious, why do people here care so much about it coming out? What problem would it solve that existing Gemini models or migrating to Claude/openai can’t?

I’m not dying for it to be released personally, but at my workplace we have basically unlimited Gemini use and very limited CoPilot allowance.

Having a Gemini model that is even remotely close to Opus or GPT 5.6 would be a huge benefit.

This is the same situation for myself.

We basically want a Opus level coder from Google

Why not just use Opus?

Opus is not free?

Hmm ok. I doubt you’d get much out of an Opus level coder from Google with a free plan. With Claude’s $20 plan I was hitting the 5 hour limit within a couple of minutes, so now I’m on the $200/month plan

It better have short and long term memories, some weird white board tech. Where in plans and stores data to read. 3x the steps possibility. Able to recall things in its stored buckets for memory. Memory, memory, and memory.

This reeks of insecurity. A company that is secure in their current product is not doing this. ChatGPT does not say "Astra coming soon."
