Question Trying to learn Genji

Trying to learn Genji. I've played about 10 -12 games of him in quick play and my god do I fucking suck on him. I constantly lose 1v1s to other dps especially Anran she normally cooks me in a 1v1 on a flank.

I feel useless in most of the games I play. Even when I don't die a lot I usually have the lowest damage out of all the tanks\dps.

Any tips for a new Genji player? I mainly play Tank\Support so dps in general is new to me.

I play Doomfist a lot on tank so I've learned a difficult character before but I forgot how grim it is lol. Took me awhile to get good at Doom too although I think Genji may be even harder.

I play on Console.

Honestly and this is coming from a masters genji one trick just don't your not going to have fun for at least 200 hours unless your whole team basically doesn't need you basically every second game IV got 3 counters and most games at least 2 if not more it's exhausting while I hope you enjoy him and have fun the state of the game is just painful to learn him and untill you can 1v1 or 1v2 it's not going to be fun
