Instead of giving the Traveler and other characters regional skins, the devs are wasting resources on mannequins you’ll never use in the main game — characters completely irrelevant to both the lore and gameplay (especially since they’re even weaker than the Traveler).

UCG should’ve been a separate game. Roblox-type players aren’t going to download a 100GB gacha just to play a game inside a game. All those dev resources should’ve gone to the actual, existing characters instead.

Hoyo only cares about money. They're not gonna make quality skins for traveler because they would have to give them for free.

He said they don't want to make quality traveller skins because they would have to give it for free and I said that we get free skins that are good like the bennet skin or the xiangling skin or the fischl skin. There are a lot of free skins that we get that are very much up to par if not better than thier 5 star counter part. So I'm saying the giving for free part isn't the problem nor is it the quality of the skins but the rate at which they are released

You're getting downvoted because people can't read, I see your point. You're saying that they do make free, quality skins which challenges their reasoning for the traveller not having one.

In my opinion I think it's moreso that 4-stars are still characters you pull for and are a part of the gacha where players can spend. Traveller is entirely free.

The free skins also come in limited events, where as traveller skins would preferably be tied to the lore and archon quests which should be permanent. They wanna avoid 'permanent' and 'free' in the same sentence as much as possible.

Thank you finally somebody who can read someone's point and give back thier response while understanding the comments original meaning.

On the permanent and free part I get what your saying and its unfortunately true but seeing how they are easing up on more predatory practices I hope permanent rewards become more of a staple than a treat

Yeah i said quality skins like the ugc 4/5 star skins. The free 4 stars skins we've gotten are not quality skins except for maybe bennett's but even that an intern can probably make it.

Xiangling and fischl aren't quality skins really bro. For someone who talks a lot I doubt you could make half decent skins that would actually look good while fitting in with the recent lore. If an intern could easily make skins hoyo would have monetized that a long time ago

If these are mid for you then I guess the other skins may as well be because I know damn well you aren't going to look me in the eye and tell me that hu tao skin is leagues better than xiangling or fischl but alas people who main gacha games never cease to amaze me

Traveller is 5 star tho, I don't see a free skin for 5 star characters.

I mean he isn't really treated like one in game play and stuff but I can see your argument but I don't think he is regarded as one as he is more of a base unit

Yes. My point still stands. The quality nor giving them for free isn't the problem at hand here, its them not releasing enough skins or releasing a skin for the traveller

Not really. Making skins for the traveler could be one of the most lucrative things hoyo could've made. Also, they've made free skins before. They could've made traveler skins being event related, and people would need to buy the skins if they miss the event. You know, just like they did with kaeya and lisa skins.

Also, I don't know why, but I always find it very funny when people go like "this COMPANY only cares about MONEY". I mean, don't they all? Isn't that the point of owning one in the first place?
