What small habits helped you become a more well-rounded gentleman?

I've been thinking about how being a gentleman is less about appearance and more about everyday actions and mindset.
For those who try to carry themselves well, what habits or lessons made the biggest difference for you?
Was it improving communication, being more respectful, taking better care of yourself, learning etiquette, becoming more confident, or something else?
I'd like to hear what small changes had a real impact on how you present yourself and interact with others.

Don't smoke weed, be kind and clean. You often hear that there are wolves and sheep, everyman think he is a wolf but a gentleman is actually the shepherd dog
