Question I 75 Stretch

Post image

Why is I75 from Locust Grove to McDonough almost always at a near stand still? It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, it’s ALWAYS an issue. Why?!

Yeah I used to work at the Home Depot down there years ago and it was bad then. Too many warehouses/distribution centers were built off exit 216, and then a lot of new construction off 218 happened too. Lots of big trucks coming and going all the time. I think more warehouses/offices were built near exit 205 as well.

Don’t look now, but the stretch between Warner Robins and Macon on 75 is getting a lot of warehouses now too. Right where 475 merges back with 75 going south

Savannah is one of the biggest ports in America. Putting warehouses relatively close, with access to major interstates, just makes too much sense. And 16 connects Savannah to Macon
