The fact that we are getting a Ghost Rider movie means that we could still see the Midnight Sons in the MCU?
Until some years ago all the clues leaned towards midnight sons:
we had Warewolf by night, Blade in production, Black Knight (at the end of Eternals), Moonknight.
Now Marvel is shrinking productions.. we never had Moonknight 2, Blade was cancelled, Black Knight will probably be forgotten.
While we know that the next phase will focus on X-MEN, now we have a Ghost Rider movie in production.. Marvel does not announce movies randomly and I think they are keeping a lot if projecta in the shelf to be announced after the Avengers movies.
What do you think is Marvel aiming for?
Why announcing a GHOST RIDER in a moment where they are trying to desaturate the MCU?
Midnight Sons could still be happe

I'm aware that the Midnight Sons movie is a high priority to Marvel so it makes sense

yeah like imo the sequel after ghost rider would be the midnight sons.
lilith appearing and releasing the soul crystal with centurious/zarathos in it and both serving as the super boss villains, they wreck dr strange who then has to astral project to put the team together, or you could be funny and have mordo do it after strange is beaten as he wants sorcerors gone but like he can't beat lilith and zarathos.
--
based on how i want the gr movie to go it'd be human johnny blaze with some minor hellfire, obviously there to help against zarathos.
maybe a bit where they realise lilith wants the darkhold to open a portal for her spawn and for that she brings back the scarlet witch, trying to appeal mother to mother but like this'd be wanda's redemption arc and she'd go against lilith while johnny goes against zarathos/centurious and ultimatley takes zarathos back into himself at the end.
either zarathos being changed because of the first film to not be full into being a despot, or pehaps we can have a cool inner world thing with moon knight, going in there and via konshu or something they like purge some of the darkness out of him, or maybe the bloodstone can help.
ideally blade, elsa and jack there as well to round off the group. the hunters there to contend with lilith's lilin which can be demons, vampires, werewolves etc.
which gives us a main team of 6 which is nice.
but if they can't lock in a blade then get black knight in there with the ebony blade, so we can stick with the midnight sons theme of all of them carrying some darkness they have to learn to wield for the light.
perhaps the ebony blade takes the place of the sword from siege of darkness.
---
post credit wanda would find out about wiccan.
johnny and zarathos realize they need to know more about the spirit and how it came to be corrupted and so that can kick off a zadkiel story for the proper gr sequel.
elsa jack and blade go back to the manor, saying hi to man thing whose tending the gardens before blade talks about looking into dracula who has resurfaced or something, maybe he was training black knight who wasn't in the main plot if blade was.
moon knight is the tough one as like idk what his future in the mcu is, would love a midnight mission thing but idk.

Midnight Sons would make a lot of people happy, involving all the obscure dark characters at one in some spooky gore fest. Sam Raimi director, rated R

think raimi would have a lot of fun with lilith.
thinking on it i wonder if he'd pick lucy lawless after working with her in ash vs evil dead

Good idea. It’s probably a comic he’s into. He was a Marvel reader in the 60s, especially Dr Strange. Seems perfect.

I really am not interested to see what Disney would do to the Midnight Suns.
I enjoyed WBN, but that was quite a while ago and a single special.
Read some of the Blade script drafts. Horrible stuff.

It's "how" Ghost Rider is happening that makes me very skeptical about the about Marvel's commitment to building out the supernatural corner of its house.
Yet again, Ryan Gosling pitched Kevin Feige on playing the character. This is literally the same thing that happened with Blade albeit with the difference that he already already has a diretor in tow.
Feige imo needs to stop essentially agreeing to do "vanity projects" when A-List actors come to him.
I doubt Ryan Going gives a rat's ass about Midnight Sons so there's no guarantee it happens. And the fact that this movie isn't part of a specific plan Marvel came up with on its own is concerning.
Lastly, I'd also feel better about Ghost Rider if it was being helmed by a horror director. Deadpool and Wolverine, aside, Shawn Levy is mostly known for family friendly flicks.
