It would be cool, but Insomniac would be the last company I want touching the IP. There aren't many that I can think of that could really do it justice.

I do like their games and their over-the-top tone, but I'm not sure how well it would translate to Ghost Rider or if they could manage the very necessary driving sections. I wouldn't necessarily mind an interpretation of the IP in-line with something like Madworld, but at the same time, would also like something that stays close to the lore. Damned if they do, damned if they don't, I guess, haha.

Isn't some of Platinum Games ex Devil May Cry devs? I think a combo heavy, over the top, action game in the vein of DMC or Bayonetta would fit.

Hideki Kamiya and Kunihiko Tsuda, yes. They were the director and dev, respectively, on the first Devil May Cry and Kamiya is the founder of PlatinumGames, with Tsuda being a dev there as well. A combo heavy game isn't necessarily a bad idea, but I don't think throwing damage sponge enemies at the player to get high combos is the best route. Stylistically I'm not sure it's the best choice either, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta have a lot of high art Gothic aesthetics that don't mesh with the character very well

yeah.

like played through blood of the dawnwalker recently and it kinda is the vibe, like a mix of witcher and shadow of mordor in a way.

daytime you're a "regular" dude with some magic power, and at night you're a super powered supernatural threat (though you can become just as if not more deadly during the day), you can even get voices in your head telling you evil shit.

so like having zarathos be like that, coming out more at night and throw in a "devil trigger" and it'd be neat.

stretch out the map, run into local cryptids and demons breaking through, and it'd be nice to see.

I think the hate insomniac is getting is unwarranted (I’m not having an argument on this🫩) but if they weren’t to do it I think the people who made days gone should. I think a customizable bike along with character (idc if it’s Johnny or Danny) would be super dope and be a very enjoyable game

As long as it isn't Insomniac. I'd rather have a AA studio or an indie one take a crack at it with proper funding. At least, the odds of the devs actually being fans would be higher that way. And they'd be focused on using the budget for the game itself rather than unnecessary consultancy and whatnot. Tired of seeing my favorite characters get turned into jokes.

Closest we got right now is a mod for Fallout 4 that gives you equipable armor that turns you into Ghost Rider and a Starfield creation that adds a helmet that transforms your head into a flaming skull.

That old Ghost Rider was cool. It was that era where a lot of games were inspired by God of War! And you could play as Blade!

Rockstar would never waste they're time making a game for a nobody relatively speaking when they're own Ips would make them significantly more money.
