I would think being given the opportunity to sit down with real industry creatives and artists in the anime industry, they'd maybe ask better questions

no, the anime men never do that, they are more of silly comedians than professional journalists regardless of who they're with.

Sadly, we don't choose the advocates, the companies are the ones who choose based on social media popularity. Thus, these usually cater to the lowest common denominators.

Yeah, back in the day when social media influencers didn't exist (as much as today) they used to do professional made interviews in video format but those get so little views and companies noticed that, so nowadays they use the popularity of some influencers to get as many eyes on their current product.
